In the beginning we were put in a room which didn’t match our booking. Swiftly moved .
Pros:

Could have been more choice of breakfast, especially for overseas visitors.

Cons:

Lack of places to sit and relax. In the evening it would have been nice to be able to sit and relax with a drink.

My girlfriend and I had a pleasant 3-night, first-time stay here. Would come again!
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff, spacious room, delicious breakfast with many selections (Indian + Western), heritage decor, prime location, reasonable price.

Cons:

Dining room has a strong perfume fragrance that was intolerable to my partner and a visiting friend. Room had opaque windows with very little natural light, but that's because it was the back of the building, which is also quieter.

For the money I would look elsewhere.
Pros:

Good location near best restaurants. Beds were comfortable and good shower.

Cons:

It feels a let down on arrival, not as grand as it appears on their photos. There is a new build hotel attached to the left!
The breakfast is not very exciting, the fresh fruit was warm and unappetising and nobody serving. You have to ask for everything even the cutlery sometimes!
Poorly trained staff who don’t anticipate customer needs at all.

Richmond is not so great!
Pros:

Breakfast was made to order and overall quite good. Limited choice though. Buffet is only offered when the hotel has high occupancy but not great.

Cons:

Front office staff are woeful with a lousy sense of customer centricity. They quote policy for no reason and the check-in process was tedious.

Cons:

No privacy at all, the walls and doors are thin we can hear everything outside and inside! My room had a connecting door that made the next door guests voices awfully loud! Breakfast was not on time the next day saw a cockroach in the bread basket! Very bad experience
