It was quite comfortable. The staff were lovely and the scenery amazing.
Pros:

Location was stunning

Cons:

The double bed needs to have a topper on it as we found it too soft. The wi fi was very bad but to be expected as it is in the middle of a national park

One of the most interesting and unusual properties we have stayed in on this trip! While it lacked some of the finesse o
Pros:

The accommodation was in a very remote pub which was comfortable and included an excellent cooked breakfast

Cons:

The third bed was OK but in the common area. There was no separate living area and bathroom was very tight

Wonderful - can’t wait to get back
Pros:

A true lakes experience, just like it should be!

Stunning setting that has a playground on offer for bikers, hikers and furry friends

Good decent food, cosy bar area, lovely garden and welcoming staff, that go above and beyond to make your stay.

The room as spacious and comfortable, I only stayed one night, I could easily have enjoyed more.

Free WiFi was great and even managed a phone signal in the garden flat.

I was a little reticent in letting everyone know how wonderful this little hidden valley with its perfect little pub was, its nice that it’s still got true Lakeland charm, without becoming overly “touristy”

But it feels like we need to do everything we can to keep these little nuggets of scrumminess going

Cons:

I really can’t think of anything

Pros:

The location.

Cons:

A bit noisy, obviously it is above a pub, but not much sound proofing.

Pros:

Great stay in a perfect location for hiking. Great value and comfortable with good facilities. The pub is nice too, good selection of food and drinks. The staff were great and went above and beyond when I was leaving early before breakfast, they made me sandwiches to take on my hike instead 😊 thank you! Will hopefully stay again if hiking in the area.

Cons:

Slightly dusty in the room

Well worth a visit
Pros:

Super friendly staff who were so helpful. Food was delicious! The roaring fire in the bar area and covered smoking area in the garden to the rear were very much appreciated, considering the wet weather. Plenty of car parking space available. Overall we felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay. Would certainly stay again.

Cons:

Understandable considering the inn is a bit remote and set in a valley, but no phone signal (on O2).

Friendly, helpful, jolly and comfortable. 5 STAR.
Pros:

Very friendly, casual, overtly helpful and jolly staff. Excellent comfy room. Welcomes dogs. Good evening meal and breakfast. Excellent relevant artwork on walls relating to location, photographs, Lake District, maps, interesting extracts from newspapers.

Cons:

Please note, this is a seriously remote location, with a single road through the Duddon Valley. Perfect for real outdoor enthusiasts but a very long way indeed from the nearest shop.
