Ideal stay
Pros:

Easy location to motorways for work to get around Scotland (Falkirk to Lesmahagow from location). Quiet, all modern TV channels. Bottled water and fridge in room. Plenty of parking outside. Bed was comfortable. Cats were friendly. If you want a hotel quality room - book a hotel. There is nothing, not to like. People need to remember this is a room in someone's home. Therefore its homely with home and personal items rather than a clinical or professional basic room.

Pros:

The house is clean and well kept and the bed is very comfortable. We loved the 2 kitties, as we miss ours back home. A great stay!

Pokój w prywatnym domu. Położony na obrzeżach miasta, w cichej lokalizacji, ale z dobrym dojazdem do centrum. Właściciel był na urlopie podczas mojego pobytu, ale odpowiadał szybko. Jedna z wiadomości brzmiała : "czuj się jak u siebie w domu". Do dyspozycji miałem kuchnię z pełnym wyposażeniem, salon. W pokoju duże łóżko z wygodnym materacem, biurko. W mieszkaniu dwa przytulne koty.

Host needs to improve the place and tidy up a lot.
Pros:

The name is misleading for a Row duplex house. It’s a Abnb style place, minus a friendly host. Good TV n cable options.

I needed to cleanup kitchen to use it. Host was shy, hope I was not aggressive.

Cons:

Missing jacuzzi as advertised. Stench due to pets. Need to walk a floor to use the only shared bath n toilet. No place to keep my stuff in the bathroom or hang my towel/clothes.

Two nights at Gadsby Manor.
Pros:

This is advertised as a room in a private house and that's exactly what it is so don't go expecting any hotel here.
John was the host who was friendly and welcoming.
The room itself was great. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Stayed two nights and slept very well.
Plenty of shops, pubs, eateries nearby and being a stone throw from the Great Western Road, the location was ideal.
For what you're paying, this place exceeds expectations and it's an ideal stop over for a night or two when travelling for work.

Cons:

The name Gadsby Manor eludes to something far grander but check out the pictures and a Goohle Street View before you go..
Parking is on-street but you can get parked reasonably near the property.
Not much not to like here when you consider the price.

Cons:

A tulajdonos nem tüntette fel előre, hogy van két macska a lakásban. Ez gond lehet a szőrallergiások számára. Nincs étkezőasztal a lakásban.

Great stay
Pros:

John is a very welcoming and generous host. The room and facilities are very clean and comfortable. Everything you need for your stay is here. Close to transport. Cats are lovely.

Fairly basic and great value. Good for cat lovers Location good for the Scotstouns stadium

Cons:

Some of the busier bus routes were a longer walk away and across a canal which was quite a deserted walkway for solo travellers.
