Quirky but nice hotel.
Pros:

View was fantastic. Fire/heater in the room was necessary because it was very windy and cool (5 degrees below seasonal average). Location near Poas Vulcano.

Cons:

Hotel was ok, but due to local 'issues' we weren't able to visit Poas Vulcano, which was the reason for the visit.

Estancia perfecta rumbo al Volcan
Pros:

El alojamiento muy lindo y limpio con ropa de cama espectacular que siempre se agradece. El entorno natural es hermoso, tal cual las fotos. La ubicación es inmejorable para estar en 10 minutos temprano en el volcán poas, muy rico desayuno con la amable atención y asesoramiento de Óscar.

Pros:

Location is great - at night you can see the lights of the cities at Central Valley - it is a great location!!
Near the Poas Volcano - so you can visit the volcano and have lunch around the restaurants in the area - and then go to the hotel to relax.

Cons:

The place needs a bit of focus -
the areas for guests are all over the place in terms of themes -
seems that the target guest profile is not well defined.
I think this place will be wonderful if they concentrate, make changes to infrastructure, and advertise for a specific guest profile - like young couples (no children), older people (no children), families... and provide SERVICES and tours/activities oriented to such profile.

Very close to the vulcano
Pros:

The location is right on the Poas slope.
The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. The same the staff.
Just mind that this is a place in mountains so be prepared with some warmer clothes.

Cons:

Bathroom was pretty cold.
