Excellent host
Pros:

Owner was extremely nice and helpful. Cooked me some bacon and chips as hadn't eaten all day. Very clean and presentable accommodation.

Pros:

Really nice stay. Big house with lots of facilities and very clean. Host was very helpful providing painkillers and even inviting me down for cake and coffee with his housemates. Nice people.

It was cheap and in a quiet area. Short walk to station.

Cons:

Felt like staying in someone's spare room rather than a B&B. Cupboards full of owner's stuff, items lying on the tops, shared bathroom full of others' towels and toiletries, and no guest toiletries provided. No TV, tea or coffee in room; a shared kitchen but not clear what was available for guests. Room cold, radiator not working. It felt more of a place for longer term lodgers rather than short-stay guests. Only one pillow and host not around much to request another.

Fantastic host with such a lovely home. Happy to chat, but also extremely sensitive to when I need quiet without me even having to ask. Best hospitality I've had in a long long time.

Wonderful property
Pros:

Great location, very spacious house with huge shared areas (kitchen, dining room, living room). Really good wifi which was important as I had to work remotely. Friendly and accommodating host and really lovely other lodgers. A really lovely stay.
