Gross and disappointing

I booked a night's stay as a brief retreat for my soon to be wife and I. With a newborn baby, a wedding next week, and a new house a week later, this was our last chance to do something together for some time. I went well out of budget to choose The Westlake because I wanted to treat the woman I love to something nice. Boy did I chose wrong. Upon arrival we were greeted by 1-800 junk carrying a mattress down the stairs that was filled with what looked like blood (Westlake staff said it was coffee....). Once entered our room it at first looked nice, clean, and well appointed but that initial impression quickly faded. The carpets are stained, the toilet paper dispenser fell apart, the hand towel hanger was broken, mold peppered the shower ceiling, various stains were present on the bed frame and the TV remote was falling apart. What a massive and gross disappointment. I emailed The Westlake staff the next morning searching for a refund and a chance to apologize/redeem themselves before I wrote this review. They apologized with a lie when they said all of these issues have been fixed! Either it just so happened these exact things were fixed right after we left without my email prompting or they changed the carpet, fixed the mold, replaced the fixtures, replaced the TV remote and did a thorough clean (like they clearly have not done previously) or, and more logically, they lied. For my inconvenience they offered a 10% discount which I told them was good enough, I'd rather warn others not to waste their hard earned money. THIS HOTEL IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

Pros:

В послугу входило безкоштовне таксі, яке вчасно та комортно забрало нас з аеропорту. Чудове розташування біля озера Онтаріо. Поряд зупинки на автобус та трамвай. Місця багато, для 4х людей не тісно

Cons:

Відсутність шаф, не було куди складати речі. Також швабра, якою прибирають не провітрюється, від неї йде неприємний запах, виставляли її на балкон.

U stanice tramvaje. Prostorný apartmán.

Cons:

Chyběla mi rychlovarná konvice a více denního světla v celém apartmánu. V apartmá bylo pouze jediné okno, které dostatečně osvětlovalo pouze ložnici. Prostorný obývací pokoj s kuchyní byl osvětlený pouze umělým světlem.
