A most enjoyable one night stay
Pros:

The staff were really friendly, and although just spent 1 night, was pleased with the whole experience. ~~The way that breakfast was prepared was amazing, and everything was fresh, I was asked if there was anything else required for the meal, and it seemed that nothing was any trouble. Eggs cooked perfectly for me.

Recommended hotel.
Pros:

Excellent and friendly staff-my arrival was delayed but when I rang the Samuel Pepys there was no answer, however, they rang me back and arranged a later check-in.
Full size television not the usual small wall-mounted set.
Fresh towels every day.
Sunday breakfast was not served later as in many hotels.
Two bottles of water and a small packet of biscuits provided every day.

Cons:

Harwich only has two convenience stores and one cash point.

Wonderful 1 Night stay
Pros:

Wonderful beds, got to sleep soundly, pillows good and supportive too.
Room 2 - bathroom is great, has everything.
Has all usual amenities.
Restaurant has a wonderful menu!
Staff are all very pleasant, cheerful and welcoming.

Didnt have breakfast this time because i was leaving at 7am, but i was offered any type of breakfast to take with me. Wonderful staff and everything done to please the guests.

Brilliant, shame about room above me was very loud but sorted in the end
Pros:

Although i didnt have the full english, the assorted foods were excellent. The staff know me as i have stayed overnight many times, and nothing is too much trouble and any questions are answered straight away.

1 night stay before early ferry
Pros:

Close to Harwich ferry port. Easy to find with Google maps. Parking on site.
Bed very comfortable, slept extremely well.
Staff incredibly helpful and friendly.
Great pub / restaurant downstairs with delicious, reasonably priced food.
Staff kindly had my breakfast ready for 7am when they opened due to my ferry time.
Very accommodating.
Family business, good to support that and great to have that personal service. Win-win!

Pros:

Bij aankomst was het hotel nog gesloten, het telefoonnummer gebeld wat op het briefje stond bij de deur. Een vriendelijke dame nam op en deed de deur voor ons open.
Heerlijke bedden.
Heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant .
Ideaal als je vroeg de boot moet nemen naar hoek van Holland. Nog maar 6 minuten rijden.
Wij houden niet van vroeg ontbijten, dus kregen we een pakketje mee voor op de boot.

Cons:

Restaurant erg verouderd of de tijd heeft stil gestaan.
De wc trok niet goed door.
