There was work going on - but that said - could do way better.
Pros:

Staff were really nice

Cons:

Shower was minute, it was really noisy. Bed was uncomfortable. The extra pillows weren't about.

First breakfast was not to good full english i think it had been under the heater very dry.next 2 days porridge and scrabbled eggs very good

I would of liked some privacy

Cons:

Sower under powered cold took 30mins to get warm, bed was lumpy and noisy when I moved about there was a screw sticking out of the head bored sharp end wife cut her shoulder drew blood, car park had issues booked late check out paid £20 for it they kicked us out at 1030an and didn't refund me the money over all not good won't stay there again.

Best hotel in Paignton.
Pros:

Been coming to the marine for over 4 years,a few times a year.The staff are absolutely brilliant, Millie,Richard very funny in the evenings,.Can't fault anything and will be there again soon.

Cons:

We were only meant to be there for 4 nights,ended up 10 nights.Only thing I didn't like was having to come home.Oh and when it says full English breakfast,please add mushrooms ha ha .

Good value option
Pros:

Excellent location on the front and quick walk to train station and nearby dining options. Great value with clean rooms and comfortable bed. Breakfast served efficiently with a smile.

Cons:

Property a bit tired in places but looks like a schedule of decorating and repairs is underway. Corridors are a little narrow but to be expected in a hotel of this age/property type

Cons:

The hotel was in the process of refurbishment which I was not informed of before visit, the room given with like a basement room with decorating going on around the hallways and areas blocked off in the basement area.
I had 2 children with me so felt rather uncomfortable and asked if there was a possibility of changing rooms. I was told there was only single rooms which was certainly not suitable with 2 children ( they could not go in rooms on their own) nothing else offered. That was basically end of the conversation. Very disappointed. Raised a complaint, twice, no reply ! Still not resolved.
