For short stays and in a city where often hotels are unaffordable (especially in the summer), this place continues to offer a good and clean option, with prime location and at a reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had a functioning AC system, though not very adjustable from inside the rooms, was a lifesaver during one of the worst heat waves in Europe.
The addition of breakfast through the next-door café was a welcome improvement to my previous stay
Some better/stronger ventilation could be useful as the hallways can be stuffy and the rooms are small. Also being able to manage the AC/ventilation from inside the room would be appreciated.
The café where breakfast is being offered was a bit overwhelmed on the last day, so discussions about faster service during the morning rush time is essential to improve the experience.

Roon was super clean, the social zone is really convenient and very well equipped with facilities, coffees of different types and convenient working arrangements. Location is as convenient as can be in Basel. Check-in online is very quick, easy and efficient. Shower was great - bot hwater temperature and water pressure. Overall, great and comfortable stay.
The AC is limited to being set to 3 degrees Celsius beneath outside temperature.
Europe is having heatwave after heatwave, and setting the AC to 3 degrees less than it is outside is useless when the outside temperature is 37 degrees. We pay for a room, we cover the fees and utilities - we should be able to be comfortable in the room and use the AC properly.
