Good location

A very nice pub right next to the railway station. Well priced and the room was well equipped with nice touches, a coffee machine, milk, hot chocolate, biccies and bottled water…. To mention a few.

I had a single room, ( room 2) but it used the space well and included a decent Ensuite with big shower, scrupulously clean and with more towels than you can shake a stick at.

The only meal choice at night was Pizza, BUT …. There was a wide choice of Pizza’s and they were excellent, clearly freshly made and stone baked.

Lovely beer garden with a large outside TV, plus a quieter area to the side of that if you don’t like TV/Sport

Good parking, it’s under trees in the main so do expect bird poo on the car😂🐦🪶

Beautiful bacon, sausages, vine tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, hash brown, choice of eggs, choice of toast. All freshly cooked

Several other breakfast options are available including a breakfast bowl, avocado, eggs Benedict etc. I went for the full english.

In summary, this little pub packs a punch well above it’s weight and provides all of the features and amenities of a hotel, but just done in a much nicer and more friendly way.

The Bosun’s chair really shows the love, care and attention and I’ll definitely return

The Bosuns Chair was a nice pub with a good sized outdoor seating area with big screens showing the football (no sound, so not a noisy area). The staff were pleasant and welcoming. Our room was on the first floor at the front of the building (room 9). It was a good size room, very clean and had a nice en-suite with a very good sized shower. The large sash window in the room and en-suite open at the top and let in plenty of air. The ceiling light also has a ceiling fan with 3 settings, there was also a small desktop fan in the room. In normal circumstances, the windows and fan would have been more than adequate to keep the room cool and comfortable, however, we stayed on the hottest day in June 26 and the room was extremely hot. There were small bottles of complimentary water on the bedside tables which was a nice touch and I was also impressed with the quality and number of towels. We weren't troubled by any noise and although our room faced the street which leads to the train station, there was very little traffic and we were able to sleep even with the windows open (and the heat). The breakfast choice was cereals and a number of made to order options, more than adequate and the quality was very good. I would highly recommend a stay at the Bosuns Chair and would happily return. It was a short stroll to the marina and it was close to the high street.

We had an exceptional stay! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The location is perfect, situated in a beautiful and charming town. Breakfast was outstanding, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend staying here.

Most welcoming and helpful , my bags were taken up to the room !! Loved that it was so close to the station . The bed was exceptionally comfortable !!!

We had a lovely stay. The room was a great size and very well equipped. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating throughout our visit. Anything we needed was provided promptly and without hesitation.
The breakfast was superb, and the customer service was excellent. The location was also ideal for exploring the area.
Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay, and we would definitely return if we visit Lymington again.

Excellent location with parking on site, helpful friendly staff, very good breakfasts.

Lovely big room with lots of natural light. Very quiet and a 5 minute walk to the high street. Very tasty breakfast. There is a car park on site on a first come first served basis. Highly recommend.

Very central. Walking distance to railway and bus station.Harbour and town 10mins walk away . Very clean bedroom.All toiletries provided. Nicely decorated throughout the building.
Good selection for breakfast. Lovely hot food.Manager Kaylee was very attentive , friendly and a asset to the establishment.

Very convenient location for the harbour and shops/restaurants. Stylishly decorated bedrooms with good facilities e.g coffee machine. (We stayed in the Versace room!) Comfortable beds with great quality sheets etc. Clean and fresh coat of paint.
