Good communication before we arrived. Able to put our food in refrigerator & freezer. Offered to help with anything we needed. Free WiFi. Pretty historic home in a lovely historic area of Mobile. Easy parking
No racks to put our luggage on in the room.

Very welcoming with wine, water, soft drinks and snacks. Lovely home, beautifully reminiscent of a by-gone era. Loved the location.
The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Also, no rooms on the first floor.
The friendly atmosphere, the comfort and quaintness of the room, the extent the owners have gone to make their guests stay have that “homey “ sensation. Great location to all the historic sites.

The host's communication was highly appreciated, and the residence itself was quite lovely. Furthermore, the bed in the Azalea Room provided exceptional comfort.
The draperies are aesthetically pleasing; however, the inclusion of a light-blocking option would enhance their functionality. The premature awakening experienced due to light infiltration suggests a potential area for product improvement. We trust this feedback is helpful.

Very friendly family who own and live in the manor. They allowed us to put some drinks in the fridge overnight so we were ready to set out on our adventures the next day. Great location.
Very firm bed. The family made us feel welcome but we still felt like we were interrupting their dinner prep. We haven't stayed in a room of someone's home before and realized, not by any fault of the owner, that this isn't for us. If you're not comfortable maneuvering your vehicle in a tighter space you may have trouble with parking here. It was nice of them to have shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the shower but if they made them all the same brand or even sample-sized versions it would make the manor seem more upscale than that you're staying in a room at a family member's house. Less family photos would also make it feel less like we were invading their privacy.
The house is well located and felt very secure. The room was clean with everything available for a comfortable stay. I loved that it felt more private and off the beaten path from the other hotels.
Uns hat nichts an der Unterkunft gefallen. Sie ist heruntergekommen und überall sind Katzen im Haus. Das riecht man auch. Der Eingang ist halb eingefallen und es liegt eine kaputte Schaukel am Boden. Bei jedem Tritt meint man gleich durchzubrechen. Deswegen haben wir die Unterkunft nach dem Betreten auch gleich gewechselt.
Gleichzeitig lebt die Eigentümerin im Haus, was an sich ok ist. An dem Tag wo wir angekommen sind, wollte sie eine Feier am Abend geben… auch wenn sich die Herrschaften bemüht hätten, wären wir nicht zur Ruhe gekommen.
Das schlimmste für uns waren jedoch die Menge an Katzen im Haus.

Wish we weren't so late and could have met the staff, but just from phone communication, I'm sure I would've liked them (thanks Nita for checking in on us as we traveled).
Unfortunately we drove a truck which made parking a bit sketchy, but we didn't hit anything.
