Nothing
Breakfast
Noisy room. Cold. Overall the experience was average, at best.
Location, decor, food
Lack of parking
The bedrooms were very tastefully decorated and lots of small thoughtful touches such as mini Welsh cakes for your tea.
Parking is close but not on site
Seafront situation
Pay parking not on hotel premises & confusing to book appropriate timings. Cases had to be wheeled at least 50 yds in rain. Reception in bar though sign pointed to side alley.
We got the ocean view we asked for but only if you stand up by the window and don't mind being overlooked by the restaurant next door.
The staff are really exceptional here - we were travelling with my 90 year old mother and the lift was out of order - the staff couldnt have been more helpful and kind and considerate - every single member of staff needs a shout out at this hotel as the check in process is not easy for them as guests are unable to park outside the hotel. That is the only downside of a wonderful stay here - the rooms were excellent and clean and modern but it was the staff - have I mentioned the staff!!!
The parking is not great as you have to use the public car park - which under normal circumstances is fine but if you have any access issues it is not great - but again we made the best of it and it did not ruin our stay and nor did the breaking down of the lift. I felt sorry for the cleaning staff who had to lug bags of linen up and down the stairs too.
Position
Not much character. We were a bit out of season
