Effort to renovate the old property to a Hotel is appreciable but need efforts to create some Parking space and put in some thoughts on making the Drive in and drive out easy for the customer.
Not very exciting and the care for a sick member in my family was pathetic. Partiality in treatment of Indian and Foreign residents was objectionable.
The location was pathetic. Couldn’t even drive my car inside the narrow lane. 2cars couldn’t even pas each other at single time.
The old world charm with all modern amenities
Location,
Loved everything about my stay.
Felt the room was small for the tariff charged
Neat and clean hotel
Thogh food quality was good but as it is a religious place of Hindu and it is situated near Gangha Ghat so food preparation by a Muslim saif is not acceptable.
Heritage
Location, staff not communicating clearly, not a value for money food
The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming !It was a unique experience to live in an old haveli, which was very well refurbished & comfortable .A special mention of Mr. Hemant & all the other staff at the reception. Chef Ali went out of his way for my husband ,who has food allergies.
Driver Raju, did a great job of taking us around the city, including getting us sorted for the dip in the Sangam
We did not expect it to be situated on such a narrow road ! It was rather congested in coming & going out of the property.
The staff were nice and friendly. The terrace was nice and so was the sunset.
1. There is no parking at the hotel. After a horrible approach road which is so narrow, you are expected to park anywhere along the road. Then where do we sleep? Inside the car to ensure safety?
2. The rooms are horrible. The ground floor rooms have a horrifying smell of stale and decaying garbage. We had to change rooms and that was still okay. But anybody with any kind of physical inability cannot access that room.
3. The WiFi is a free WiFi and hence plenty of sites including pay portals are at risk.
4. The food option is disastrously limited. They never mentioned that they neither have a bar, nor do they have any non-veg options. As if the guests are supposed to assume that. The breakfast is complementary and therefore the options also are like the owners are doing us a favour by giving us food to eat. Dirty, dingy, unhealthy with flies all over. Disgusted.
5. Also if you have the top most room then it is your duty to tell them that the pressure pump should be switched on. Else you will find yourself stranded in the washroom without water.
6. I could not believe that it is a ITC property. This was by far the most awful hotel I have ever encountered and definitely I would like to add please never come and stay here.
7. The swimming pool was also not functional and so dirty.
8. The washroom is covered with tent clothes that keep flying as you are taking a shower. It invites in bees and other insects too.
9. The washroom also had a thick bunch of cobwebs. Anybody with dust allergy will have had it.
The staff are very nice and the sunset is awesome.
The hotel says that they have parking. It is a lie. The parking is on the road, which is a narrow lane. So it is not only a risky proposition, you can't sleep in peace if your car is parked on that road. The rooms in the ground floor stink of garbage smell. Seems like the hotel doesn't even have a garbage disposal policy. So finally we were shifted up, but then if the water pressure pump is switched off then you are stranded in the washroom, as there is no water. The meal options are limited. The property doesn't even specify that they only serve vegetarian food and that also is so limited. The breakfast is complementary and they make you feel it. The choice is poor, the display is dirty, filthy, unhygienic with flies all over. You almost feel that they are doing you a great favour by serving you food. The WiFi is open and so extremely risky. The rooms are so small that you feel claustrophobic. There is not even a small cupboard to keep your things. The washroom had tent cloth to cover it. It was stinking. Can you imagine taking a shower with the cloth flying all over? It was the worst experience ever and I can't believe that this was a ITC hotel. Such a sham and a loot.
A very beautiful historic house . With historic past ( I got a nice tour of the house) the lady at the reception ( Romina Singh)has been competent, very helping , gentle and absolutely charming She told me about the celebrities who resided in the house ( Gandhi R Tagore )
