Reasonable, but poor value for money.
Pros:

The hotel is set on the edge of Breda in beautiful, rural surroundings on the edge of a large woodland.
It is clearly a hotel with a long history. Overall the hotel interior is quite dated, though well maintained.

Cons:

The (single) room was quite basis, with an en-suite bathroom that was very small and quite cramped.
The pillows would be my biggest complaint... of the large "bouncy" variety that made them quite uncomfortable. I asked for replacements but none that was any different were found.

Heel vriendelijke dame bij het ontbijt. Wisten dat we onze hond hadden mogen nemen naar de ontbijtzaal. Toch niet gedaan; de hond bleef keurig, stil op onze kamer

Cons:

Eerst gedacht (via booking.com) dat ik een bepaalde kamer had geboekt, incl de aanwezigheid van onze hond. En toen (gelukkig) zag ik in de lange email met de bevestiging van onze reservering, dat ik een duurder soort kamer moest boeken vanwege de hond. Dat is los van het feit dat we (terecht) voor de hond extra moeten betalen. Fout waarschijnlijk van booking.com op hun website of foutieve communicatie. Werd lastig om dat 's avonds laat nog veranderd te krijgen.

In de badkamer veel kleine vliegjes, heeft te maken met hygiëne. Toch was alles perfect schoon.
