Having a room with a view overlooking the river was nice. The rooms are spacious enough for 2 people and luggage. The location is excellent for Newcastle city centre's restaurants/pubs & nightlife.
The car park price is a little on the steep side.
Exceptional customer service, from reception to bar to breakfast staff. . Room spotless. Great vegan breakfast, staff very helpful. Love that the hotel has pictures from a local college on display and supports local charities. We will definitely return.
Nothing.
Great room with views overlooking the river, lovely restaurant, good location for quayside walks.
Nothing to dislike
Excellent room great view of the river.
Lovely breakfast. Great public areas to sit in
Replenishment of buffet breakfast items
The location is magical we had full view of the tyne and bridges. Food was outstanding, tried the soup and nachos then pizza and fish and chips was so tasty. Staff were super helpful and kind aswell.
No complaints!
Full English Breakfast was poor. Restaurant was quite for breakfast so hot food had been out far too long by the time we entered the breakfast room. Hash Brown's, Black pudding, Bacon were all dried up and rock hard and inedable. The waitress had told us the eggs would be brought to our table. I guess for the reasons I have stated.
See above, staff were good. And everything else was OK.
Very welcoming staff good size rooms and facilities great location close to all amenities great breakfast and good choice of hot and cold options
Nothing everything was to my liking

Lovely facilities and big rooms
Good location
Only one towel in the bathroom on the first night.
Room was clean and quiet. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food was plentiful and reasonable. Shower very hot and powerful. We had a nice time here.
We don’t use lifts and the stairwells were utilitarian, cold, wet, dripping with rainwater - uncarpeted is fine, unpainted, unheated, concrete walls and literally dripping/raining inside is bizarre! The room was clean but the outside of the window, canopy, and access walkway outside were dirty and covered with pigeon poo, not so nice as an immediate view from your bed. Lights on the canopy outside lit up the room and weren’t turned off until after 11pm on Sunday, after midnight on Monday. Check in process seemed to mean over ten emails, multiple forms to check in online, but then having to do them in person as well.
Reasonable prices for food .lovely place to stay
Can't find any faults with this place. I've stopped many times.
Excellent location, all staff pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of options.
Stayed for the evening meal, food again was excellent. Overall excellent value for money
I can't find any negative comments to say about my stay here and I wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future and would highly recommend
Room was clean and well presented. I had requested a room with a river view and I wasn’t disappointed! It was amazing. Location was excellent, I have stayed here before, I like being near to the quayside and city centre so Copthorne Hotel is ideal. The on-site car park is a huge advantage too.
