If we go back we will insist on NOT being on the fifth floor again.

This is our third time of staying at the Copthorne in Newcastle , the location is very good, the breakfast is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Cons:

This time we were put on the fifth floor, the room itself was fine, but when we looked out of the window we were surprised to see a metal type walkway with pigeons roosting on and a canopy above.You couldn’t see down onto the pathway, just the river and across. We were very disappointed with this, knowing how much we had been able to see before.

I loved the location. The hotel was great and the staff very friendly. The food was really good. Only came for a few days but would like to return for a longer stay.

Nice clean hotel in good location
Pros:

Lovely spacious bedroom with view of river. Convenient parking and plenty of spaces available. Good location. Nice food in restaurant with a free drink and 20%off food before 6.30

Cons:

Bathroom was small, would prefer shower not over bath. As room was very large it would have been good to make bathroom a bit bigger. Breakfast was fine but have had better, it was a bit crowded around food tables

Small things aren't great for breakfast like scrambled eggs made with powder, industrial tasteless bread or poor quality teabags..
