The room was expensive for what you got. I stay all over the uk and for one night with breakfast it was expensive
Staff all friendly. Room clean. Food very nice.
First time we have stayed in a room at the back, it was very dark because of the trees and although quiet prefer the rooms on the front.
Also did see a dog in one room didnt realise dogs were allowed, i presume just in some rooms.
Great bar and staff, very nice food nice picturesque location. Parking. Rooms need update as looked like it was a premier inn before and a bit tired

The view
The ceiling in the bathroom was mouldy also the tiles the floor near to the toilet was sinking we ate a meal on the 27th we both thought it was terrible the prawn cocktail was so so and the main meal was so so it wasnt great then pie was dead hard and the peas were hard needs much improving the food been there before and it wasnt like this said it was a 5 dtar we would rate it a 2 star now
Comfortable beds, and larger than average rooms. Large parking. Breakfast is excellent. I have been coming to Craigside for food for decades, and have never been disappointed. First time staying there for the night, and it was a good experience too.
The bathroom was rather tired and needs to be refurbished. That was the only (small) negative aspect of our entire stay.
