Friendly, cool, comfortable hotel in a cool and walkable neighbourhood
Pros:

Great hotel in a quiet but very cool neighbourhood, full of traditional houses, nice small cafés and restaurants, and very cool independent shops. Our room was super quiet and had great beds - we slept very well! We enjoyed exploring the area, but it's also within easy walking distance of the Nishiki market, and we even walked to Gion. We actually also walked from and to the train station - totally feasible if you don't have big bags. The staff was lovely, spoke perfect English, was super helpful. They helped me organise for our bags to be delivered there directly, and it was waiting for us in our room when we arrived. Great amenities and guest supplies. If you are considering a trip to Kyoto, Wayfarer is a great place to stay.

Great stay in Kyoto - Pillows are horrible

Great Amenities, Luggage storage and luggage delivery can be done from this hotel.

Cons:

Pillows were horrendous. Struggled to sleep comfortable
