Pros:

We loved our stay here, we didn’t want to leave! A great space with lovely views, great place to see the stars. Log burner was a bonus. Beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed.

Catlins gem
Pros:

Nice view of the lagoon. Lots of space in the 2 bedroom apartment. Parking. Good location for exploring the Catlins

Cons:

Could do with more sound proofing between the apartments as could hear the TV from next door. This was only minor though. The rest of the facilities made up for it.

Did not meet any staff so unable to comment. We thought the place was clean but basic. Poorly insulated so quite cold.

Great location. Beautiful outlook across the water. Excellent communication with the owner ahead of check in.

Cons:

Noise between the adjacent room was pretty unpleasant. It’s an internal wall separating the accomodations, clearly just swap seats rooms in an exisiting house (rather than an insulated separate lodgings), which could be ok if people are advised to be quiet.

Pros:

Unterkunft mit Meerblick, wenn das Wasser da ist 😄. Das Zimmer war weiträumig und komfortabel eingerichtet. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter läuft komplett digital
Es gibt keine Essens- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, dafür sehr ruhige Gegend.

Cons:

Die Unterkunft war sehr hellhörig, nur durch Verbindungstür von der angrenzenden Unterkunft getrennt.
Die Parkplatzsituation ist unübersichtlich und mit max drei Pkw ausgereizt.

A good place to stay in the lower Catlins.
Pros:

Unit was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Well equipped. Properties in this area are scarce, so this was a good find for a 2 night stay. Handy to Curio Bay.

Cons:

It's a shame a bit more thought was not given to the design of the bathroom. Another 20cm in width would mean you could have a decent sized vanity. Was manageable, though, for a short term stay.
