Nice room with private bathroom. Really silent apartment, so you can sleep and rest peacefully. For us, this was key. Has good location, well connected area, a lot of buses and next to the subway. Coliseum is like 20min walking distance.
Is in a sketchy area, but is good for the price and it’s well connected. It would be good if there was bathroom hooks for hanging the towels rather than in the radiator :)
The room is fantastic. It is located inside an apartment on an upper floor of an apartment building.
Our host sent very detailed instructions, but we still got confused between the room number and the apartment number. So one should be careful with that.
The elevator is old and one has to be careful to close the doors manually but the host sent very detailed instructions on being careful with it, so it was fine.
Inside the apartment, there are several rooms (I think three) with a common small kitchen and area. It is extremely well equipped and snacks and packaged pastries are provided, as well as books, games and even power adaptors, which I thought was super thoughful! Thanks!.
The place is super clean. One is asked not to enter with shoes, and there are slippers provided at the entrance to the common apartment, as well as shoe cubbies for each room. Not everyone may like that, but I did like it.
Keys to the street door are provided inside the room.
The room itself was super big and confortable. A great place to say.
We picked this lodging because it was close to Roma Termini rail station. And even though it is within sight of the station/tracks, it is 1km from the entrance/exit of the station, and after a long journey it was a bit too much to walk that with all of our luggage. Still, the location is excellent, next to Vittorio Emanuele square.
Another issue we had is that the street door was closed. We had to phone/message our host, but this meant paying roaming charges on our non-european mobile. Our host had asked us to contact him when we arrived at Roma Termini, and while we had WiFi on the train, it wasn't very convenient otherwise.
We also had a bit of problem figuring out how to enter the electronic code to the room: sometimes it was easier, but other times not.
Also, one should be very careful to have the code when going to the kitchen, as one will need it to get back into the room!!
