Aesthetically pleasing.
It’s the nature of the beast with it being so close to everything but I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out how incredibly loud the court of two sisters bar and restaurant is.
Nice courtyard and good bar. Central location
Lack of sound insulation, lack of security, cleanliness of room, lack of turndown, mediocre mattress
Our room was absolutely beautiful, and the bed possibly the comfiest I’ve ever stayed in. On arrival, we had a bottle of fizz and handwritten note wishing my partner happy birthday, which was a lovely welcome (thank you!!).
It was everything we’d hoped for for our first visit to New Orleans, as we wanted to stay somewhere with some history and character!
We had fresh coffee on a morning from the coffee bar, and sampled some amazing cocktails in Peychaud’s Bar on the ground floor - so good!
Location was perfect for exploring too, and just a short walk from Frenchmen Street.

Location was excellent. The property was beautiful. The attached bar had excellent drinks and service. The guest service was amazing. The room was beautiful.
A hidden gem in a great location of the French Quarter. A great bar and lovely courtyard
Sometimes it was noisy at night
Precious little gem in the French Quarter. Loved the courtyard!
Helpful staff, clean, good quality towels.
Fountain wasn’t working.
Hotel room was lovely could be quite noisy at night
The Celestine was a great spot in the heart of the French Quarter. It's a really loud and busy neighbourhood, so the hotel feels like an oasis with its beautiful courtyard and secluded feel.
I have very few complaints about the hotel or the staff, the only downsides are the noise of the neighbourhood late into the night. However the hotel do try and help with earplugs, white noise and anything else they can provide.
Nothing really. It was a surprise Chr getaway for my wife. Need less to say, she hated it!!! No designated parking available as advertised. Size 24" t.v in room.
All of it.
Beautiful renovation of a 200+ year-old building in the center of the Quarter.Decent sized room. All the bathroom fixtures looked brand new.Plenty of towels and a turn-down service every night. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
My only real complaint is the noise. Upon booking (Booking.com), I requested a quiet room. The hotel phoned me and said the room type I booked faced Toulouse St. and was not quiet. They graciously offered, at no extra charge, a larger room facing the courtyard. The first floor bar plays loud music beginning at about 9:00 AM and the courtyard is filled with revealing customers. However, things quiet down after 11:00 or 11:30 PM. The real problem is the adjacent restaurant which begins rolling out their loud and heavy trash bins at 6:30 AM accompanied by loud conversation not twenty feet from our front door. At these prices ($600/night), I should have been warned that even the quietest room is anything but.
The hotel was beautiful! It is very unique & comfortable. The staff was so nice and welcoming! The property sits around a beautiful courtyard, where you can hear morning jazz come over from the court of two sisters.
The location is only a half a block behind bourbon street, which does make this a little loud. However, I feel it comes with the territory if you stay in this part of town.
The staff was accommodating and warm. It’s a very special hotel and we loved the unique experience. The decor and details are A+. They even had champagne in the room and a handwritten note for our anniversary!
We loved everything, but I would warn anyone who doesn’t want to “be in the middle of everything” — they provide ear plugs, which we didn’t end up needing on a weekday stay, but if you’re sensitive to noise you may not want a balcony room that faces Toulouse. For us, it was perfect.
So much classic Old-World charm. Sitting in the courtyard enjoying the delicious morning coffee, jazz music softly wafting in from the Court of The Two Sisters, transports you to a different time and place. Mornings were very peaceful. Loved the cocktail bar - finely crafted drinks added an understated glamor and the bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable.
Our room was tight but we knew it was one of the smallest rooms offered - the courtyard queen. Also, noise from Bourbon street made sleeping difficult at times.
New fresh and qute hotel within the French Quarter.
