Pleasent but not to high standards.
Pros:

The location was fine due to being right near the seafront. The view was ok and the room was really good along with Echo!

Cons:

Accessability isn't too great due to the narrow corridors even if there is a lift. The breakfast wasn't really value for money due not having much choice of foods, and the Latte machine didn't feel up the cup and it was too strong for my liking. Also Staff was barely around so if needed them then we couldn't get to them at a certain time.

Pros:

Loved the location, the smart room was a welcome addition too - being able to just lie in bed and turn the lights on or open the curtains was really good. Great location for the Weymouth half marathon - was really reasonably priced as well

Cons:

The bed was a little firm for my liking but that is just a preference

Pleasant, clean and a great way to enjoy quality time. Location was perfect too.
Pros:

Greeted on arrival, hotel room was clean, up-to date and the facilities were good.

Cons:

Would of preferred the full seaview instead of a side window view just seeing abit of the sea.

Great value for money
Pros:

Right on the beachfront. We had a dual aspect room with amazing views over the sea.

Stayed with my daughter and the room was a perfect size with 2 double beds..

Booked parking aswell which was very handy.

Did all it needed to do.

Great room, just bad smells in and around the hotel
Pros:

The rooms were lovely, great location

Cons:

The smell as you entered the hotel and all round the building. Luckily smell wasn’t in the room.

Central location, right on the beachfront

Cons:

Smart room didn’t work, staff came in to look, had to ask his boss to help but must not have gotten a reply as I didn’t hear anything more. There’s lots of signs celebrating the smart room but none of this worked

Total nightmare, being locked out of your room in an empty hotel is not a pleasant experience
Pros:

See view was nice. Room wasn't too bad. The rest was TERRIBLE.

Cons:

Paid £20 for breakfast when booking room, no breakfast was forthcoming. After searching for breakfast in a completely empty hotel we became locked out of our room because the electronic keyfob no longer worked. The keyfob was given to us the day before when there was a member of staff on site. Eventually a builder happened to come in and was able to get us back into the room, in fact the place was more like a building site than a hotel and should have been closed during restorations. How housing guests overnight in an empty hotel stands with Health & Safety I don't know but we certainly would not have booked there had we known. The whole experience at this hotel was a NIGHTMARE.

The room was recently renovated to an exceptionally high level.
Pros:

Location was excellent, right on the beachfront.

Cons:

With a restaurant in the hotel, which was very clean, lovely views of the beach and freshly cooked food.

A comfortable short break
Pros:

Everything was there that we needed. The location was very good, appreciate the noise from the busy road due to sash windows

Enjoyed our night at the Carlton. Nice warm comfortable room.
Pros:

Good value for money, nice clean room, modern technology.

Cons:

Seemed to be In between refurbishment as some of the property looked a bit tired in places.
