Nothing.

Cons:

The reservation was made and CONFIRMED by the host 10 days in advance; less than 24 hours from the check in, the host notified me via booking chat that the hotel was full and thus my reservation was cancelled. The host did not provide any back up solution nor helped to find another accommodation; Booking customer service was also useless.

The Wi-Fi in Hot Belvedere is 1/10. The worst.
Pros:

My stay in Hot Belvedere start it very well. Carlos was super flexible with 2 important details.
1 - check in hours. I arrived from Fogo island by ferry and walked 1h30 from the port to the accommodation and only arrived at 10pm.
2 - He accepted payment by Revolut. I was in Cape Verde for 45 days and with standard plan I could only withdraw 1000€ month without paying unreasonable taxes and fees.
Carlos also upgrade our room but I think is because was the only available in that night, but we stay there the entire time.
A lot of people complain about location but for me was ok. I really waked 1 hour everyday to go to the city and that was just fine and safe if you stick with large streets.

Cons:

The things start going bad when he started lying and playing with us.
CRUCIAL POINT: WIFI IS TERRIBLE. I repeat terrible. I don't who rate the wifi of Hot Belvedere as good but that person probably were there alone. The accommodation has more than 10 rooms. At 5 am when everyone is asleep, yes the wifi is amazing, because only you are using. But at 6 pm til 2 am, no one can use it because everybody is trying to use it.
We complain about this and Carlos was like "ohh you know this is Africa, an island there is no good wifi quality in Cape Verde". And we are like "I am sorry? But we been in Santo Antão for 3 weeks and wi fi was excellent! Same in Fogo! Same in São Vicente!" And then he start changing his speech saying that lately the wifi was bad and next day we would call a specialist (he didn't).

On top of this I ask him if we had any laundry service and HOW MUCH IT COST US to wash the clothes. First he told us that the washing machine in the kitchen was broken. OK I accepted. But then when we pressed him about WiFi situation, he shared that was a second washing machine in 3rd floor and in the next day I just needed to deliver my clothes to housemaid. I did it. My clothes got clean and he sent me a WhatsApp message saying "You clothes are wash and ready, the price is 500 CVE". I can assure you that I lost everything and I read 500 CVE. "I am sorry didn't I ask you yesterday thr price of washing and you said nothing??" He ignored my message. And I didn't payed. I am righting this review today, one week after. Because I just pick up the socks that I used to do the hikking to the volcano of Fogo, and surprise surprise, my feet went full of dust/black sand in the second I put my feet in. I am very upset. We had the audacity to ask me 500 CVE for clothes that was bad cleaning.

Continuing with the wifi situation. After laundry episode, someone reset the router so we went one entire day without internet.

Cão simpático à entrada, cama confortável, boa casa de banho e apesar da limpeza não estar impecável por ser uma zona comum a cozinha está bem equipada

Pros:

O quarto era impecável em termos de limpeza e de organização, a casa encontra-se numa zona linda e tranquila de Praia. O host foi muito simpático e acolhedor.

Cons:

Gostaria de ter a opção de pagamento com cartão.

Not easy to find a taxi near by I suggest you get a taxi driver number to pick you up when need a taxi or walk to the Main Street or the near by gas station “ENACOL”
