The room was large and comfortable and the staff were brilliant.
The location is central and convenient for shops, the ferry, buses, restaurants etc. BUT, it's next to the island's sole Wetherspoons. Closing time on Fridays and Saturdays is 2.00AM and if like me you need quiet in order to get to sleep you won't sleep. The heavy beat of music plus shouting and general rowdiness in the street went on until after 2.00AM. The provision of ear plugs in the room was a warning. We stayed a whole week and Sunday to Thursday nights were not a problem, but if your stay includes Friday or Saturday, be warned, or insist on a room away from the Regent Street side, which might be better.
Brilliant location.
Weather on one day.
Great location. Lovely aspect to the room. Complementary full English breakfast was a great touch
Location great
The ongoing work next door
I enjoyed the self serve buffet breakfast, and the specially cooked to order eggs. Room 401 had a great view from the 4th floor of the beach, promenade and shoreline. It was well worth paying a little extra for. The staff were attentive and polite. The hotel is a short walking distance from the Manx ferry terminal, and is well placed to access a variety of public and heritage transport to all parts of the island. There is plenty of things to see and do on the island and the people are genuinely friendly and helpful.
We can not think of anything that we did not like.
All staff were excellent and helped make the stay a good one.
Clean, modern with a relaxing feel and comfy bed.
Our room didn't have USB charging points so a plug adaptor is required
Everything, only a bit noisy in the early morning but that was the pub next door
Standard, spacious room
Mould in the room
1. The breakfast was good. The staff asked what kind of eggs I would like, and my fried eggs were prepared and served very quickly.
2. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They lent us a lighter and some clear tape when we needed them in an emergency.
1. The facilities are a bit outdated, and the bed was softer than I am used to. However, it was still acceptable overall.
2. It was a little noisy outside at night.
Booked a superior room with sea views and it certainly had the most fabulous views across the bay. A good English breakfast. Perfect location for the town, buses etc.
Could’ve done with another mirror near to any of the many plug sockets.
Building work going on on the opposite corner which we were not pre-warned about and work starts at 6am!! Fortunately it didn’t spoil our enjoyment but if you’re a light sleeper I’d advise wearing earplugs.
Probably a good 3 star hotel rather than 4 star but we would happily stay here again.
