Pros:

I stayed at Victoria Pods for several nights while exploring George Town and found it to be a great budget option. The location is excellent, walking distance to Little India, street art, hawker food and the ferry area. The pods were comfortable and reasonably quiet for a hostel-style setup, and I slept well. Bathrooms and common areas were clean and the place felt organised. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you want affordable accommodation in a very central location, this is a solid choice.

Pros:

Privatzimmer war klein, aber privat 😊 Klimaanlage gibt es nur im Flur, aber durch Ventilator und Lüftung im Zimmer war die Temperatur angenehm und nie zu heiß. Ich fand die Dusche und das Waschbecken, trotz dass es von vielen genutzt wird, sehr sauber. Auch der Gemeinschaftsraum ist toll. Es gibt kalt und heiß Wasserspender. War auch ruhig obwohl viele Zimmer nebeneinander.

Chambre occupée à mon arrivée, problème avec la réservation.
Pros:

Malgré le fait que ma chambre était déjà occupée, on m’a offert une boisson et une pizza pour se faire pardonner ainsi que le remboursement de ma réservation.

Cons:

Quand je suis arrivée, on m’annonce que ma chambre a été occupé par quelqu’un car problème dans les réservations. Je me suis donc retrouvée à la rue à 21h avec l’obligation de chercher rapidement un autre logement.

Pros:

Nice pods, nice facilities, restaurant below also had good food and staff were all very helpful and friendly. Location is perfect, especially if you need to go to Butterworth as the ferry is a 2 min walk

Sehr gutes Hostel
Pros:

Alles perfekt. Freundliches und hilfsbereite Angestellte.
Ruhige und zentrale Lage. Kein Strassenlärm.
Gute Klimaanlage.

Cons:

Kleine Zimmer ohne Fenster. War aber trotzdem ok für mich.

The staff were super nice. Arrived late. Yet they were very accommodating. Place is nice for solo travellers. A place for rest, wash and park the bags.

A bit disappointing if you consider the high score on Booking
Pros:

Location central. Standard and cleanliness also ok.

Cons:

Very strange and impersonal check-in, which happened in the pizza-joint downstairs. No internet overview of the bookings, very amateurish. No personal service, tips or anything like that. I would say this place is overrated on Booking.

Pros:

Greatt staff, very clean, quiet from outside noise. Well furnished common room.

Cons:

Doors for rooms are a bit noisy and the automated hallway lights are really bright and coffee on a lot. Air con is in the hallway and need to use an extraction fan to draw it into your room which is a bit noisy and let's the light in from the hallway lights. Smoking section is it the front of the pizza shop which closes at 10.
