The location and cleanliness
The location. Someone answered the phone as soon as I arrived and guided me in. It was comfortable and quiet. After the entry I had a key for the front for and my room.
There was no hot water in the morning. I had to boil kettles and strip wash
Nothing….
- Strange smell around the building and inside the bedroom
- felt unsafe
- ended up not staying and left within an hour
- this is literally a warehouse that was converted into individual rooms
The man checking in was lovely
Pretty much everything (other than the kind man on the phone explaining check-in)
All great
Nothing
Dirty bathroom, rusted soap trays , long dark corridors, worst bed so far.
Location to event I attend was excellent. Check in was easy, and everything went smoothly. A fan was provided in the room which was great in the heat. Kettle, water and tea/coffee provided in the room. Bathroom looked like it had recently been done up.
Overly bright lights both outside the window and in the bright green LED on the emergency exit light made it seem like it was daytime, a decent blind on the window could have helped to solve this. Parking was limited and was full when I departed. The base of the fan was broken so it had to be propped up between the chair and the table to be useable.
Excellent value for money. Obviously you don't have air-conditioning, but extremely clean and tidy. Everything worked. Very pleasant meet and greet, although unusual with a phone call.
The actual lodgings is hidden at was an old night club and bar. It's all looking rough, then through the gap between the building to a very pleasantly laid out area.
Yeovil has its rough bits, and although the lodgings very good, you have to walk through the rough area to get to it.
Once your in.. All good.
Quietness
Hi was a bit dark.
I originally booked a room but I couldn't close the window - mechanism didn't work.
The owner changed my room to a double.
I had problems with the TV so one of the owners drove 20mins to resolve the issue.
The female owner thought i was being difficult when i mentioned the TV in the new double room wouldn't switch on.
When the TV was resolved, I realised that the window in this room was rotting, and the payne of glass was almost falling out of the wood, securing it. (See attached photo).
