Tolles Hotel, leider etwas außerhalb und Frühstück eher wenig.
Pros:

Gehobene Ausstattung, alles sauber. Tolles Gym, Handtücher am Pool. Alle sehr nett.

Cons:

Außerhalb der Stadt (shuttle hin oder her). Zum Frühstück konnte man Eier bestellen und es hätte wohl ein Buffet geben sollen. War aber um 9 h morgens schon leer und wurde auch nicht aufgefüllt. Schade bei dem Preis. Abends im Restaurant gab es 2 Gerichte nicht, was auch schade ist bei einer kleinen Auswahl der Gerichte überhaupt.

Pros:

Oasis au calme.
Les meilleurs mini croissants de tout le Laos.
Staff sympa et efficace.
Éloigné du centre mais outre les 2 navettes gratuites par jour, il est possible de prendre un mini bac qui amène de l'autre côté de la Nam Tha et permet de déambuler sur la rive jusqu'au centre de Luang Prabang. Tourner à droite en sortant de l'hôtel et 300m sur la route ensuite suivre le panneau.

Lovely stay
Pros:

Staff were lovely, restaurant had great food and reasonably priced, nice pool and gym too.

Cons:

A bit fa from town. Used loco ride app lots.

Lovely oasis outside of the old town center
Pros:

Really nice family apartment with two master suite’s and a living room with kitchenette. Pool was lovely. Beds were comfortable. Staff was super helpful. Breakfast was usually a tasty buffet.

Cons:

It’s a little far out of town, but honestly, it wasn’t too bad to overcome: they had several daily shuttles to take you in town that you had to book in advance, but we mostly used the free passes for the bamboo raft that crossed the small river to the tip of the peninsula. That just didn’t run at night time, but for all of our day crossings, it was the best!

Good place but not conveniently located to town center
Pros:

The architecture is beautiful. Our room was spacious and the balcony had a great view.

Cons:

The hotel is located far from the center (not walking distance) with limited options for F&B in the area. It is close to the airport and you hear the planes, but the road to the airport is not considerably shorter compared to an accommodation in town.

Pros:

Heerlijk ontbijt, hele fijne en schone kamer. Fijn dat er een gym bij het hotel zat. Hotel ligt wat buiten het centrum, maar met de fiets ben je er zo. Echt een top verblijf!

simply perfect
Pros:

The Madilao Hotel was simply perfect. We stayed there twice during our time in Laos.

The rooms are very spacious and everything is spotlessly clean. The staff are extremely friendly and speak very good English. The pool is beautiful, and the gym is very well equipped.

The breakfast offers a wide selection, and we also had very good dinners at the hotel in the evenings.

There is a free shuttle to the city center several times a day. Otherwise, there is also a bamboo raft nearby that takes you quickly across the river to the center.

Close to the hotel we also took part in a cooking class, a wood carving workshop, and a jewelry-making class, which was great.

We can highly recommend the Madilao Hotel.

Great hotel with super staff
Pros:

Great hotel a little out of town but shuttle service provided three times a day plus free bikes and ask about the bamboo raft which crosses the river so you can be in the centre in 10 to 15 minutes by any mode of transport. Rooms are big with balconies overlooking the beautiful gardens. We had breakfast plus a few lunches and dinners all were excellent. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We stayed 11 nights longer than most and really enjoyed it. Hopefully we will return one day.

Pros:

Wir sind für eine Nacht in dieses Hotel gekommen, nachdem wir zuvor mitten im Stadtzentrum übernachtet hatten, wo es sehr laut und etwas schmuddelig war. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb und ist dadurch deutlich ruhiger – für uns war es eine richtige Wohlfühloase.

Zu Fuß braucht man etwa 45 Minuten ins Stadtzentrum. Alternativ gibt es aber einen kostenlosen Shuttle, entweder mit dem Boot oder auch mit dem Auto, was wirklich praktisch ist. Außerdem werden kostenlos Leihfahrräder angeboten.

Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Es wird regelmäßig nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist, und man merkt, dass sich wirklich bemüht wird, dass sich die Gäste wohlfühlen.

Das Hotel wirkt noch sehr neu, wodurch alles in einem wirklich guten Zustand ist. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Auch der Pool war sehr sauber – hier könnten höchstens noch ein paar zusätzliche Liegen stehen.

Es gibt sogar einen kleinen Fitnessbereich und auch die Geräte wirken sehr neu. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr schön gepflegt, besonders der Garten und der Rasen.

Das Frühstück war wirklich lecker und auch das Mittagessen, das wir am letzten Tag dort gegessen haben, hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Ik zou iets in de stad zelf kiezen.
Pros:

Het was een mooie plek
Heel fijn zwembad

Cons:

Lag echt ver uit het centrum.
3x per dag een shuttle en daarna was het €8,00 per tuktuk om weer terug te komen.
De leenfietsen waren te slecht om mee naar Luang Prabang te fietsen.
Bv Lastig om naar de Alms ceremony te gaan kijken.

Calme, confortable. La piscine est agréable.

Cons:

Le prix du laundry exorbitant pour la région.
La situation excentrée est heureusement rattrapée par le minuscule bac qui fonctionne jusqu'à 18:00 et qui vous amène au bout de la presqu'île.

Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room and facilities were amazing, very pleased with my stay and would love to come here again. It’s a little far from the centre, but they offer a free shuttle bus and free bikes which is great. Also the area around, is full of local arts and crafts shops and workshops, which are worth exploring.

Cons:

Really nothing. Maybe that its far from centre but this is very minor thanks to the free shuttle bus

Don’t be fooled by reviews or site descriptions
Pros:

The reception and restaurant staff is nice.

Cons:

The room was ultra small, dirty, and old. There were mosquitoes flying around the room. They were out of mosquito repellents. The sheets were stained. They lie about many things on their site. They book for 28m2 and 48m2 room sizes at different rates with a note on their site that their rooms are largest size in Laos. They only have 28m2 rooms on their site. That’s it. Their cleaning staff is the worst. They spray room freshener and call it a day! No cleaning of floors or bathrooms at all. They change sheets reluctantly even if you ask them to. Do not book if you care about honesty or cleanliness.
