Casa Smeralda is located directly on one of the most quiet beaches on the south coast. The beach is very long and there is plenty of space to find a peaceful spot which is a big plus and for that reason it is quite a gem. A big plus is a nice little restaraunt where you can get good breakfast and dinner. We can really recommend the pizzas, which are on European level. The prices are touristy however, don't except cheap meals here. All in all, we had a decent few nights here and would return beacuse of the beach and kindness of the staff.
The acommodation itself didn't really exceed our excpectations, since the room could definitely get some more love and upgrades. The room was very basic, dark, and not the most cleanest. For the money paid and based on the photos, we expected a bit more. We think that this accommodation is a bit overpriced and is taking advantage of the location.

Lovely relaxed and quiet place to stay. Small property with a few rooms. A really nice relaxed feel to the place. Staff were so lovely and we loved the breakfast French toast and pizza! Hiriketiya is 30 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk which was perfect for us

The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean.
The breakfast by the property was very nice and for lunch we went to the sister property, a boutique hotel a few minutes walk on the beach. The food there was lovely!
The area is very quiet which was what we wanted but we hiriketeya is only a short tuk tuk ride away so it was very easy to go out in the evening for some dinner and for a change of scenery.

Breakfast was below average: there was nearly no choice and what you got was bland. Don't pay for it, get it somewhere else!

I booked the property for my son and his fiancée, no water to the point they couldn't even finish to brush their teeth and no effort was offered to remedy, all was received with a shoulder shrug and a a it is what it is....

There's a problem with the water. I think they should reconsider the price if this problem is constant! It felt as if we were pushed to pick diner with them! The pool isn't the best, lots of ant, flies, ect. around.

We weren’t planning on coming to Dikwella but our itinerary changed and we’re so glad we did. Casa Smeralda is such a magical, peaceful place. Amazing to be away from the crowds after Ella, which was full of people! We wish we had stayed here longer and hope to return in the future. Heavenly! We walked 10 minutes to Turtle Point and saw turtles. The staff were lovely. Amazing pizzas and drinks. 10/10
Relaxed vibes, very attentive staff, stunning beach
Location was great. It is a small accommodation at a beach with some accommodations and restaurants. It feels very quiet which makes the experience great.
Loved the spacious rooms and bath rooms. The sun beds on the beach were great and had shadow as well.
We found the food at the restaurant great as well. One night we ate at the sister hotel at the beach. It was a great experience as well.

The proces were very high, especially compared to the rest of Sri Lanka. However, this is the same for all tourist areas at the coast.

Very friendly staff, very quiet and beautiful beach and location and nice pool!
We booked this location because it was so close to the beach but booked some more nights because of the amazing coffee and food. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are spacious, clean and have all the facilities you want in a room. Would definitely recommend staying here, we even booked an extra night here and stayed for 4 nights in the end. When you come definitely go for breakfast, lunch and coffee here.
