Good location, good price, but issues!
Pros:

Good location, near the west end, but quiet. Easy to get to nearby restaurants. Friendly helpful staff. I didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on the food. I had a single room. These are quite hard to come by, so a bit of a find.

Cons:

The tv wasn’t working. I wanted to watch the Scotland Morocco World Cup match, but wasn’t able to. A member of staff even came to try and resolve the issue, but wasn’t able to. The room seemed quite dusty, there were cobwebs on the ceiling. No biscuits provided, but the tea was nice.

A Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Edinburgh
Pros:

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room and facilities were clean, the location was very convenient, and it was easy to get around and visit the main attractions. We felt the hotel offered good value for the price. Thank you as well for giving us a room facing Edinburgh Castle—the view was absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip.

Nice hotel and staff, some things could do with updating, but a nice stay
Pros:

Hotel was in a good area, nice and quiet, staff were very polite and accommodating.

Cons:

The window wouldn’t open and with the hotel weather it became rather warm in the room.

Gute Lage, Preis-Leistung nicht gerechtfertigt
Pros:

Lage war super (zur Usher Hall waren es nur 15 min Gehweg). Tolles altes Gebäude

Cons:

Das Bett war extrem hart, also durchgelegen, man dachte, man liegt auf einem Brett. Ein bisschen schmutzig waren die Zimmer auch. Für den Preis erwartet man einfach doch etwas mehr und vielleicht ein inkludiertes Frühstück hätte man für die Preis doch erwarten können
