Lovely stay in Gallery Prawirotaman
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at Gallery Prawirotaman Hotel. It was शांत, clean, and very comfortable, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time. The breakfast was fresh and delicious every day, and the staff were always friendly and helpful.
We also booked a tour directly through the hotel, and everything was very smooth and well organized. Our driver, Mr. Dwi, was well prepared, kind, and very communicative. He showed us many interesting places and shared a lot of insights along the way.
We had a perfect day trip and would like to say thank you again for such a wonderful experience!

Pros:

O pequeno almoço era buffet e tinha muita variedade, desde comida típica da Indonésia até ocidental. A piscina também era muito boa, dando para refrescar sempre que voltamos ao hotel. A simpatia de todos os funcionários, sempre muito prestável e cuidadosos para nos proporcionar a melhor experiência. A cama do quarto era muito confortável, e o quarto muito espaçoso.

Cons:

A casa de banho do quarto cheirava um pouco a esgoto, mas nada muito incomodativo.

Tolle Lage, wir werden wieder kommen aber ohne Upgrade vor Ort

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut - man ist schnell in einem Restaurant oder einer Bar. Das Personal ist generell sehr freundlich. Frühstück war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich.

Cons:

Längster check-in ever! Wir haben ein Upgrade von einem Zimmer vor Ort beansprucht, aber das hat ewig gedauert und war mega kompliziert in der Abwicklung. Das hat uns ziemlich genervt - schade das hätte man einfach lösen können.

Auszeit vom Trubel im schönsten Stadtteil
Pros:

Der Pool ist entscheidend, sonst eher weniger Punkte. Der ist wirklich groß und gepflegt

Die Handtücher riechen extrem schlecht
Alles in die Jahre gekommen
Man lässt überall die Türen auf, weil nur wir Ausländer so furchtbar schwitzen. Dadurch ist es kaum gekühlt außerhalb der zimmer. Nicht genügend Sitzplätze im Essraum. Sehr laut alles. Als ich da war, extrem voll

Great Base, Clean & Comfortable Rooms
Pros:

We enjoyed our recent, 3 night stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, the AC and shower worked well and we had a direct view towards the Merapi Volcano. We were nicely surprised by the quality of the on-site restaurant food and the staff were pleasant & helpful. The location is amazing, with several awesome restaurants within walking distance. We did stay during Ramadan, so it was quite busy around dinner time and we didn't feel overly comfortable swimming around everyone breaking their fast. That said, the pool was awesome during the day with less visitors around.

Cons:

I got a balcony room specifically because I smoke. The hotel has very strict rules about where you can and can't do it. Balcony no but at the restaurant around everyone eating, yes. Odd and a bit annoying. Overall though, we had a great stay 👍🏼

En general me gustó todo. El hotel está bien, el desayuno también. Pedimos un día el desayuno para llevar, y fue increíble todo lo que nos prepararon. También nos dimos un masaje y muy bien.

La piscina genial y el personal muy amable.

La calle paralela (calle Prawirotaman) tiene un montón de tiendas y restaurantes, a nosotros nos gustó mucho más esta que la calle Malioboro.

Cons:

Se oyen mucho las mezquitas cercanas, pero esto no es cosa del hotel...

Pros:

The staff of the hotel was really accommodating and kind. We took tours to Borobudur and Prambanan one day and Cave Jomblang and Pindur the other day with our private driver Mudhi from the hotel for a decent price. He was super competent and nice! We also got free couples massage with our tours. The pools were nice and clean and there was complementary pool towels and good ice cream right next to them. There is room service and cleaning. Right across the hotel there is a cheap laundry service where they are even willing to air dry clothes that cannot go in the dryer. We are very satisfied.

Cons:

The bathroom could be updated. It is a bit old and worn. The hotel staff that book tours weren’t informed that Prambanan is under maintenance on Mondays, therefore we accidentally went on Monday and couldn’t see the inside of Prambanan, just the outside. Not a huge problem, but a bit of a pitty for us:/ Note to others: avoid Prambanan on Mondays!

Nice hotel, poor breakfast
Pros:

Excellent location with many good restaurants nearby.
Nice pool area.
Nice room.

Cons:

Poor breakfast with empty dish plates already 1.5 hours before breakfast time ended ( non-fasting breakfast). Nothing to eat. Good coffee.
Reception offered coupon for wellcome drink, but restaurant did not accept it. Explanation: no room number in coupon.

No sense to reserve the room with breakfast included, like we did. With that money you can get good breakfast outside.

Great Stay and Location!
Pros:

Great staff, location, and quiet area! Rooms were nice and breakfast was good. The staff was definitely the highlight. Also, we wanted a place with a gym which was hard to find. The gym here was good enough (treadmills, weights and a few standard machines), and it had AC!

Cons:

Bathrooms are dark. We had an AC issue but the staff was attentive! Hopefully they have a longer term fix.
