the room was cold, very noisy outside and no remote to control to work the TV

Entrance through a dark drank alley, entrance unwelcoming
No stand up shower, little in way of tea coffee, no fan - felt a little unloved
The location was good
The room was cramped because of the sloping roof which made it difficult to walk around. The stuck on light switch in the bathroom fell off during the night so we couldn’t put the light on during the night until we found it and the TV didn’t work.

In your description of the property you say “each room has a balcony” which is not the case- we had an extremely compact attic room with height restrictions (my husband is 1.88m) and no balcony or views which you also mention.
There are over 40 steep stairs up to the room which also might be worth mentioning.
We stayed in Du Barry room, which has a lovely ambience about it, overlooking the town and having a wonderful roll top bath. The bed was very comfortable, with beautiful furniure and decor. It was toasty warm and relaxing. Situated well for the shops, restaurants and the beautiful park .
Parking is tricky as you have to pay even on Sundays.

The only complaint i have about Chez Vivienne is that maybe some consideration should have been to the structural strengthening to the room above as
We got a disturbed nights sleep from the constant moving from the occupants in the room above .
Very clean, and quite different! Felt like we were in 19th century Paris!

Location fantastic, room fantastic and that bath was relaxing. Comfortable bed and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Will definitely be back.
Everything was perfect 👌
It was clean tidy and at the centre of the town, easy to walk and to all aspects.
I must admit the stairs were extremely difficult for us, being elderly I must it was extremely difficult to get our luggage up and down the stairs.
Good instructions for finding entrance. lovely decoration and welcome. Comfortable bed. Sumptuous bathroom. Tea, coffee and biscuits.
Couldn't work out how to turn the light over the loo off, so on all night. Would have liked a door on the loo itself.
Noisy base music until the early hours. Unfortunately too many stairs for me.
The location was fantastic and the property had everything we needed.
The problem was the parking, on the booking.com search the property was advertised with parking. This is incorrect, it was a pay and display car park with no overnight parking available. Luckily we had family further down the road with parking but very frustrating when you specifically search for a property with parking.
