We stayed here for 3 nights and everything was great, all the reception staff are amazing and went above and beyond, especially Dustin. It was a very convenient location as well. We would highly recommend staying here!!!
Everything is great.
Every single member of staff was polite, courteous and welcoming. Even if you only see somebody for a minute throughout your stay, it can make the entire difference to your trip.
Special mention must go to Nuri for her warmth, sweetness, and friendly nature. Was more than happy to help me with getting the room cleaning done and my so-so Korean pronunciation. The sweet treats, welcoming chats on how my day had been and recommendations on places to visit were also a nice touch.
Roof terrace also nice, useful if you do smoke and can get a good view up and down main road from there. Also has a microwave in there if you bring back some food that needs heating up
Mostly aimed towards the foreign visitors I would say. But then if you're from the UK or America and you run into trouble, both their embassies are literally down the road.
Bus stops right outside. Nearest subway about 5 mins walk. Seoul station about 15-20 mins walk. 2 convenience stores within a minute of entrance. Plenty of food places to go out. Also a post office about 2 min walk if you do need it.
A great team overall, and great if you want to balance budget and location. I've never seen the point in paying over the top for a hotel if 90% of the time you're either going to be asleep or outside.
Would i stay again, yes.
If i was really gonna be nitpicky:
it be the view i had from my window but that's the luck of the draw and as i say you go out on holiday, not just stay in the hotel all day.
a full shower rather than shower over bath would be ideal but then you get what you pay for and I'm happy with what i had
Hotel location is very near to subway station City Hall (exit 8). It was easy to find. Easy to find food near hotel. Walking distance to center of crowd in Seoul. The hotel staff (Nuri is the name) is very friendly, fluent in English and give clear explanation about hotel facility.

Rooms were so good. Heated flooring, good aircon, comfortable beds. 2 pillows sure makes a difference. The lounge was lovely. Location is super good. Staff were very welcoming.
The window was unfortunately tiny and felt alittle Dungeon-y for the room we were in anyway … and the fan in the bathroom was weaker than the norm so the floor towel never really dried - even on the drying rack.
The hotel is in a great location right by City Hall station, that has access to the green and blue lines, as well as buses. I took the green line to major destinations everyday. It’s also in walking distance to the touristy district of Myeongdong.
Dustin, the receptionist who helped me check in and out, was extremely kind and helpful. He has a little bit about serving you like a king, which was very cute :) And gives away arrow root cookies, a Korean specialty! He also was able to call me a taxi to the airport as I couldn’t reserve in advanced. Great service, A++ to Dustin!
The room itself served its purpose for me; I was out everyday, so I personally only needed a base. The comforter was fluffy and there was a surprising amount of TV in English. I appreciated the heated floors, which were desperately needed during a cold front. The hotel was super affordable too. You have to ask for cleanings, but I was able to contact them through WhatsApp.
The only things are that a mirror in the bathroom and the electric kettle in the room were both dirty, but everything else was clean and they provided water/a kettle in the lounge upstairs. I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Firststay Myeongdong and would stay again!

Er zat een heel klein venster in de kamer, maar het uitzicht was toch op de lelijke achterkant van een gebouw dus groter moest die niet zijn.

The staff, especially Rachel and Dustin were amazing. So friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the rooftop is nice and comfortable. The location is perfect.
