I would happily stay at this delightful haven again.
Pros:

Although our room and bathroom were tiny - as I knew in advance, - they, like all rooms there, were charmingly decorated, equipped. and painted. It was a joy to wake up to. Likewise, the lounge area by the garden and reception was a haven to be in. It was also the area where we were served an excellent breakfast. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming, caring and friendly. They made us feel like we were with old friends. We also liked that a number of restaurants (and apparently shops (although we did not go to any) were in easy walking distance on streets that were well maintained and felt very safe.

Cons:

Really nothing.

Sweet little hotel in urban Liberia
Pros:

This is a very sweet property with a lovely outdoor area. The host, Edwin, is warm and welcoming, made me coffee at 5:45 am for early departure. Room is simple and clean.

Perfectly pleasant place to soak in over a century of history
Pros:

The owners were extremely accommodating and generous with their time Super conveniently located. Outdoor space is a bonus for a inner city hotel
The decor is very sweet with many little touches around every corner This is a rare historic find that transitions you to a bygone era. Great breakfast

Cons:

While a adapted, travellers might want to be aware that there is no hot water but showers are surprisingly pleasant
The rooms are small but fit the era of the hotel

Understanding and kind - very welcoming.
Pros:

Edwin is a fantastic host. Very helpful and makes guests feel at ease. Thank you so much. Beautiful courtyard with places to relax if you like.

Pros:

The host was friendly, spoke good English and provided good restaurant recommendations.

Cons:

This is not a 3 star hotel. Hot water is not supplied to the rooms. The rooms are very small, the furniture basic. The garden area was unkempt.

Welcoming and relaxed
Pros:

The breakfast was wonderful and Edwin took care of us like we were valued friends . We really appreciate him.

It would be better to have blankets in the room and a more comfortable shower.

I highly recommend Hotel Libéria and would not hesitate to return.
Pros:

Excellent location, caring owners were on site , breakfasts were fresh and healthy - everything was outstanding.

Cons:

It would have been nice to have hot water in the bathroom
It that is something that the hosts are planning to bring in with future upgrades.

Erholsamer Aufenthalt in schöner Umgebung
Pros:

Schönes Hotel mit wunderschönem Innenhof. Freundliche Atmosphäre. Ich habe mich sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt. Edwin und Mario waren äusserst zuvorkommend und haben sich gut um die Gäste gekümmert.

Cons:

Eine heisse Dusche wäre schön gewesen. Ansonsten war alles bestens.

Lived Hotel Liberia!
Pros:

This is a beautiful facility, great location and we really enjoyed meeting the proprietors Edwin and Marisol, who gave us a lot of information about all that was going in in Liberia.

Cons:

Nothing, one of our best stays in Costa Rica - great way to finish the trip! Big 'Thank You' to the hosts for such hospitality.

L'accueil. L'emplacement. L'amabilité d'Edwin, l'hôte. La propreté (c'était impeccable). L'ambiance de sérénité qui règne dans la place.
