Disappointing - would not stay there again.
Pros:

The staff were lovely and the sheets were clean. The room was extremely hot but as the windows cannot be opened fully, the lovely woman on reception lent me a desk fan to use which was a lifesaver the first night. The location was helpful as there was a bus stop very close.

Cons:

A £3/night service charge was puzzling as it is made clear that rooms are not cleaned each night and you are directed to clean up after yourself in the kitchen/common room.
Wi-fi never worked, despite email requests to sort it and it was the same for other people staying in that flat.
Small bag of tea and coffee was nice touch when arrived but the kettle in the kitchen was filled with scale and I was sick after drinking a brew made using it before I thought to check inside the kettle.
Mini shower gel and toilet roll provided but no soap?? - I had to go out as soon as I arrived just to buy some soap for the bathroom - not very hygienic. I can understand environmental concerns but there are ways to ensure basic hygiene still.

Its a wonderful place to stay. Both Thumbs UP!!
Pros:

It was a wonderful stay. The staff was very supportive and helped me out beyond their scope. The room was clean with good tables and chairs, I really needed for my work, with lots of power ports. Toilets were also very clean. The kitchen was great and super convenient to use. The stay made me feel at home. Will look forward to any future stay whenever I get the chance to visit Brighton. I came from India for a conference and was a bit apprehensive, but the stay made me very comfortable. Also, the location is right next to two main bus stops that have buses going directly to the Brighton station or towards the pier/ university. So a super good place to stay if visiting Brighton.

Cons:

There is a strict timing for checking in at or after 3. This is difficult for international travellers like me who seldom have the chance or the opportunity to time their travel perfectly. So having travelled for more than 15 hours, I still had to wait for another 3-4 hours before I could check in.
Looking at this challenge, it would be good if there were options provided for early check-in. Since the booking was done nearly 2-3 months ago, there can be an option that allowed for more flexible check-in or change the timing of check-in. This will make it perfect for future guests who may not have the opportunity to time their travel. However, for the convinience of the staff, additional requirement like informing beforehand atleast 1-2 weeks ago or something similar can be applied to ensure this feature.

Great location at a great price
Pros:

Location was great. Around the corner from the bus stop.
Kitchen- useful to have access to fridge, kettle and microwave.
Friendly reception staff.
Can leave luggage there after check-out and collect later.
Good amount of space for a single traveller.
Towels and extra toilet rolls available.

Cons:

The kettle needed descaling.
The shower is fixed whereas personally I prefer a shower head that can be moved around
No cooking pans or utensils- although description says these would be available so cooking wasn't possible

Perfect for what I required it for.
Pros:

The communal kitchen was a bonus. It was easy to walk from the railway station. There was also a bus stop at the door.

Cons:

The bathroom desperately needed a towel rail.

They should consider basic needs to the provision. Mixed feelings
Pros:

It was easy to get to with bus.

Cons:

As a basic need you will expect little things like bathroom accessories and ironing for your stuff. I had one night of stay in another student accommodation and it was fantastic as compared to this one. I had basic needs for the bathroom and iron for my clothes. It would be great if they have basic stuff as part of it. They should bear in mind we are not students who are expected to bring everything. This is more like bed and breakfast. Many thanks

Good value, good location
Pros:

Great value for en suite rooms and close enough to walk where you need to.

Cons:

It was very warm, with no ability to leave windows open or anyway to circulate aim through the room. And the beds we not built for heavier / taller people.

Enjoyable Brighton stay
Pros:

A near central location, close to the North Laines, with a couple of great pubs just up the road. Comfortable, single room. Very secure. The little welcome pack with water, tea, coffee and biscuits is a nice touch and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Although the price has risen considerably since I first stayed here (that’s Brighton), I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Very enjoyable, as always.
Pros:

A convenient central location. A comfortable en-suite study-bedroom.

Cons:

Some of the cutlery in the communal kitchen should have been replaced. There were blunt knives and tin openers.
