Absolutely beautiful traditional Balinese compound. The staff were excellent. Modern rooms with facility. Not too far from the main hub of Ubud

Gorgeous standalone building in traditional Balinese design. But keep in mind these are basic facilities, so you will trade off this beauty and authenticity for more basic accommodations. Only thing that guests should be aware of are many birds (doves) in small cages. The cages were beautiful but (for me and some guests) it might distract from the happiness of the place if you feel sorry for caged birds. Absolutely loved the stay though-perfect location on Hanoman st (walkable to yoga barn, all the shops, and great restaurants like Kafe right there), powerful AC, always hot water for showers, excellent breakfast, very kind family and staff. Would definitely recommend to people wanting a more authentic experience in Bali.

We stayed here during nyepi day and silent day and it was the perfect location for that. Not just only for the celebration but also a very pleasant stay as we had to stay inside the whole day. We also were able to heat up our food during silent day and they also supplied extra plates and cutlery for us which was very nice and considerate. We are definitely coming back.

Charming little home stay in the heart of Ubud

Interesting place

Great central location only a short walk from central ubud.
Great big comfy bed. Very friendly family who looked after us well.
We loved the terrace to sit out on.

The owner even waited up for us as we arrived at 3am.

I loved staying at Mahaguna Ubud. The location is perfect — I was able to do many things on foot. The room is very comfortable, with a kettle, tea bags and coffee, a wardrobe, a well‑working air conditioner, a comfortable bed, and everything very clean. For breakfast, I chose the omelette every day, which was delicious. They also have a very cute little dog. Everyone was very kind. I felt safe and comfortable, as I was traveling alone.

Amazing, historic setting in a family temple. Very clean, modern room. Delightful family. Small place, 5 rooms. OK breakfast.

Endroit propre et bien situé. Le logement etait calme et tout était rénové. Le personnel était très attentif à nos attentes. Au restaurant le personnel était dynamique et la nourriture était excellente.
