KB Guesthouse is a clean, budget-friendly accommodation. The owner provides good communication so you can make your way.
Pros:

The property is exactly as shown. We arrived on a late bus from Singapore at 1:30 in the morning. The town was quiet. GPS worked to show us the 2 min walk to the property. The owners had made a great communication, including photos, to tell us how to access the building and our room. The room was neat and clean.

Cons:

There is no luxury and Mersing is a small port town.

Cozy and clean room

Pros:

Wahrscheinlich die beste Unterkunft um in Mersing auf die Fähre oder den Bus zu warten. Die Zimmer sind sauber, die Dusche warm und das Internet ok. Der Self-Check in funktionierte problemlos da der Besitzer alle Infos auf Whatsapp mitteilte.

Cons:

Eine Art Schrank im Zimmer für die Kleider wäre praktisch.

Great overnight location to catch the boat to Tioman
Pros:

Conveniently located for the jetty to Tioman. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent communication with the host who answered my many questions and helped arrange transport to Mersing from Johor Baru.

Cons:

The soundproofing could be better - can hear pretty much everything from neighbouring rooms and the proximity to a mosque means you’re woken by the sunrise call to prayer. Easily enough to remedy with ear plugs.

Pros:

Location is near the jetty. Plenty food options nearby. Check in pretty standard. Everything is clean. Beyond my expectations given the affordable price.
