Sababa Resort

Despite booking a suite, it wasn’t very exclusive with other hotel guests sitting on our patio chairs regularly. Pretty noisy, so would recommend ear plugs.

As there isn’t AC the rooms they have a large ventilation strip along top of the glass front. This means noise come in as well as cigarette smoke if someone choosing to sit on your balcony area. The balcony areas by the pool seem to be used by everyone rather then just the room it belongs to. A roped off area around those or sign on the tables may solve this. There needs to be a couple more sun beds and there were no umbrellas for the sun beds. With the resort offering day entry bed could get full quickly. Maybe some reserved for actual guests would be a good idea. Room 1 requires a lamp and new shower head but it felt much more private then room 13 by the pool.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like.

The wifi could have been a bit stronger but we managed it. Parking was paid in a pretty dusty lot.

I anticipated it being extremely loud due to the reviews.. it was not that bad. Staff is super friendly, pool is beautiful but water was a bit chilly.

Really dirty bathrooms in the dorm. They would get cleaned mid afternoon before check-in and by the end of the evening the bathrooms would stink like urine so bad to the point that I had to use the pool bathroom a couple times as it made me feel nauseous. The property would benefit from more cleanings of the rooms or better ventilation. Additionally, by the sink there was several items that had just been left there seemingly for weeks. In the time that I was there, there was a can of beer that did not get touched by housekeeping lol..,

Shower was difficult to use. The temperature was a bit inconsistent.

Not the most social place. Thankfully I got lucky and there was a few good people in my room, but it’s a really strange mix of people who stay there. I feel like a lot of people stay just for the cheap accommodation not wanting to socialize?

We had a room near the pool and it was very loud with music from the bar. Also, loud from people using the toilets outside, it kinda made our balcony unpleasant to sit at.

Many beds in the hostel room and small drawers to store belongings.

Solicite una cama que estaba disponible en la parte inferior ya que me habia lastimado la pierna y me la negaron, de igual manera las camas superiores son complicadas para subir ya que no tienen ambas partes de agarre y debes sostenerte con la cama para evitarte caer, mas en mi caso que estaba lastimada. Las puertas de la regadera son de madera y tienen moho.

-El tiempo para hacer "room service" era solo entre 11-12 que me parece muy poco cuando uno está de vacaciones.
-San Pedro es un lugar bullicioso de noche y el hotel además tiene un bar cerca, asi que no es recomendable para las personas que quieren "silencio".

We had a private suite (14) they placed us right beside the pool and hostal bathrooms so we constantly had traffic and noise. When sitting on our patio we had to smell the bathrooms.

There was gum stuck to our floor in the bathroom.

Honestly, it seems this is a very nice resort but it needs some upgrades for the price paid.

They didn’t have soap in the dorm room bathrooms, hopefully this is something they can add.
