Slordige badkamers, onafgewerkt in de badkamer, veel verkalking in badkamer. Elektriciteit viel meerdere malen uit. Zeer isrealistisch gezind.

We stayed here after hiking Acatenango and it was a great spot for some much needed relaxation. The pool was the main reason we booked this hotel, as well as the big rooms with a king bed, which was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a lot of variety and we were glad to have that included in our stay. The hotel was generally pretty quiet for the most part during our stay, even during the weekend. However, we stayed during the rainy season when San Pedro is not as busy.
The property was definitely showing some wear, including in the rooms. It feels like this place is cosplaying as an all-inclusive resort. When we arrived we had an issue with the lights in our room flickering constantly. Thankfully, the staff at the front desk acted immediately to fix it.
The rooms can also be very loud as there are screened windows that face the pool so if other guests are up late it can be very loud. There are no official quiet hours that are enforced.
The property is awkward to walk around in certain spots. They clearly value what looks good in photos over what is practical. The stepping stone tiles on the property are not level and can be tripping hazards. There are many beautiful plants that you will have to brush out of your face as you navigate the property.
The breakfast buffet is good, but it is tight quarters so best to get there early. They need to change the lids for their sauces on the buffet, because they require two hands to use but there is nowhere to put down your plate as you serve yourself.
I enjoyed my stay at Sababa. I loved the room and the property.

Bij het inchecken geven ze je een paar oordoppen en al snel werd duidelijk waarom. Er was lawaai vanaf 5 u smorgens tot 23 u savonds. We namen een durere kamer ( met zicht op zwembad ) we zater er 30 cm van met als gevolg dat we alles hoorden. Een fel led licht die constant door onze ramen scheen. Ik ben absoluut niet tervreden van dit ‘resort’.
Location
The property needs lots of up keeping, pool had mold around the walls, needs a complete replaster, never saw anyone applying chemicals to it, pretty alarming specially the water was not circulating. The toilet tank was leaking, bathtub had mold, dusty furniture and not to mentioned they only have a ONE little portable fan for the whole room.
Restaurant staff needs major hospitality training, first thing they mentioned, breakfast includes (1 egg, 1,drink only ) they even have a note on the wall of the restaurant saying so and if you ask for anything they made sure to tell you it’s extra. Tables were dirty attracting alot of flies and no prevention from their part. Overall this is NOT a 4 star hotel whatsoever. It’s truly ashamed because the property has alot of potential.

De locatie en de faciliteiten. Grote kamers, lekker ontbijt en veel te doen.
Het kon iets properder + het personeel aan het ontbijt kon geen Engels.
Las vistas son increíbles, el desayuno es bastante completo y rico, me asusté un poco cuando me dieron tapones de los oídos al llegar pero no se escucha NADA, perfecto para descansar y disfrutar de tu estancia.
Josefa ha sido muy amable conmigo y me ha atendido de maravilla cada vez que he ido con una consulta.
El agua de la ducha sale bastante fría y las alcachofas están un poquito gastadas

The staff provided great customer service throughout our stay. The location in San Pedro La Laguna is an excellent base for exploring the different towns around Lake Atitlán. We also really enjoyed the breakfast.
The cleanliness definitely needs improvement—the bathrooms and floors were quite dirty when we arrived. Additionally, the hotel asked guests for 5-star reviews in exchange for free drinks, which felt a bit disingenuous.
The hotel is beginning to look tired, I hope they make the effort to keep it going, it’s a great concept and in my opinion the best place to stay in San Pedro if you are looking for a bit of luxury in a very simple town. We got three rooms with view to the pool and the beds were super comfy and the rooms very clean, now that said, the room next to the pool toilets gets a draft of sewage, don’t get that room if possible.
The restaurant staff seemed more interested in chatting to each other, and watching their phones rather than providing good service and attention at breakfast and dinner.
