Great location and staff food great but AVOID ROOM 6
Pros:

The location was very good
Staff were excellent
Food was great
Nice snug bar
Very good quality breakfast

Cons:

Breakfast finished very early
BUT main problem was room 6. It is oppressive and extremely dark all wood panels- like a cave
Curtain didn’t fit and it was pretty noisy up to 11.30- kitchen / fan ??

Jederzeit wieder - die positivste Überraschung auf unserer Reise
Pros:

Dieses Hotel ist in jeder Hinsicht wunderbar. Die Einrichtung ist der Umgebung entsprechend angepasst, edel-rustikal und spiegelt die Geschichte des Hotels wieder. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Da ich derzeit an Krücken laufe, fallen mir besonders Stufen nicht so leicht. Das Personal hat alles getan um es mir zu erleichtern. Das Zimmer war hübsch mit einem fantastischen Blick auf ein Loch und die Berge (Zimmer Nr. 2). Fußläufig ist ein Steinkreis zu erwandern. Das Essen ist super lecker und der Service ausgezeichnet. Es gibt ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten.

A very nice stay in this lovely upmarket hotel. Recommend!
Pros:

Great, well cooked breakfast

Cons:

Radiator and towel rail were blazing hot in bathroom upon arrival so room was roasting even on a pleasant day wasting energy and needing us to cool down the room

Pros:

Lovely, small, old-time country lodge with a pretty garden and public rooms opening to it. Room very comfortable and refurbished with lots (too much?) nice furniture. Windows open - love that! Restaurant is fantastic - very special but not "stuffy".

Lovely quiet place to spend a night or two
Pros:

Beautiful location. We had one room in the main building and one in the annexe. Annexe room lighter and more modern facilities but bit less character. Lovely views of the garden from both. Staff great. Showers fabulous. Beds comfy. We ate in the bar as with a dog. Food good but not exceptional. Breakfast served in main dining room (no dogs) and was also good. Quite pricey but a great stop over for a night or two and well located for exploring.

An oasis of calm on a windy island
Pros:

There was lots of space to spread out. A very relaxing atmosphere. Great bathroom. Good food. Lovely gardens. Friendly staff. Comfortable lounge. Walks to do straight from the hotel. Good WiFi.

Worse experience ever in Scotland never stay here
Pros:

Nothing , complete scam never ever ever stay here .

Cons:

The property booked my reservation knowing the ferry was down. Was literally impossible to reach this island . The hotel refused to refund the bookings and pocketed the profits . They said “ they knew the ferry wasn’t able to take a car to the island for the last 2 weeks but refused to refund the funds. “
