Pros:

La ubicación, junto a la playa, y la amabilidad de un miembro del personal.

Cons:

Hotel muy modesto.Había otra persona (un señor mayor calvo) que estaba siempre viendo cosas en el teléfono móvil y no ayudaba en nada. Desayuno muy pobre. El personal no hablaba prácticamente nada de inglés.

It was a nice and comfortable stay.
Pros:

food was tasty. But the quantity of curries were not sufficient even for two person. If add another 2 or 3 menus for breakfast that is much appreciated.
Location is very beautiful. but very noisy with the songs heard on buses parked outside.

Cons:

Even though lunch and dinner was provided on our request, the selections of menu was very low. It should be varied. But however, the food was very tasty.

Our stay at Hotel Cocos Polhena was absolutely superb from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations and it truly felt like great value for money.
The location is beautiful, especially the calm beach just nearby where we could watch turtles and even swim with them — such an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a holiday getaway.
The breakfast was also superb, fresh and delicious every morning. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and will definitely come again in the future. Highly recommended!

Our stay at this property was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were always friendly, kind, and ready to help with anything we needed. What stood out the most was their warm smiles and positive attitude—they always said “yes” and handled everything so professionally.
The atmosphere felt just like home, which made our stay even more special and comfortable. I’ll definitely come back to this hotel on my next visit to Sri Lanka😄

Unprofessional and staff need retraining to hospitality standards

We stayed one night at this hotel. We booked a family room.Room number 110. The room we were given had a horrible smell probably coming from the shower/toilet. The air conditioning did not cool our room enough and tv had no channels as we were told we would have. We spoke to reception and they sent someone to look at the room. The guy came in and said to us that he could not smell anything and that tv was working which was not. He also rang the manager while he was in our room and told him tv was working okay in Sinhala not realising that my husband spoke Sinhalese. I tried to contact manager on my phone while the guy was there but my call was not answered. My husband then asked the guy who came to sort things out to call him on his phone and my husband spoke to the manager who agreed to move us to a better room which was nice and did not have the same smell. In the morning when we checked out the receptionist and another man working there demanded we pay 8000SL extra for the room they moved us to which we were not told we would have to pay when they moved us. Hotel management and staff are extremely unprofessional and I would never stay in this hotel again

I loved my stay n hope to visit again

Had such a relaxing stay at Cocos Polhena. The view, the vibe, everything was just perfect.The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made everything even better. Plus, having free parking was really convenient.
