Great property, great location, great staff, great value, poor ownership in deferred maintenance
Pros:

Breakfast was much better quality than the complimentary breakfasts you get in the US. The staff was kind and attentive. The room and bathroom were clean and good size for the price point. The location is exceptional.

Cons:

The beds were horrific. Both beds were the most uncomfortable mattresses I have slept on in decades. I could barely walk in the morning my back was so stiff. The mattresses must be replaced. They are ancient over-worn mattresses. The fact that the mattresses remain in the rooms is a reflection of poor ownership of the hotel. The bidet requires routine and thorough cleaning. I tried using the bidet once and immediately stopped because of the smell originating from the nozzle.

We were very disappointed by the breakfast that was included.
When we booked the room, more than 2 months prior to our stay, we asked wether there was a vegetarian option as well. We received the info that there aren’t many, but some. The day before our arrival – after the cancellation deadline and after the payment went through – we received the info that there aren’t any vegetarian options at all. That was extremely poor communication, and had we known earlier, we would have looked for something else.
