Maurice hotel Quebec
Pros:

Un petit hôtel plein de charme, décoré avec beaucoup de goût, où confort et raffinement sont au rendez-vous.

Idéalement situé, à seulement 10 minutes à pied du centre-ville, il offre un cadre chaleureux et élégant.

Un hôtel à taille humaine qui n’a rien à envier aux plus grands établissements, tant par la qualité de ses équipements que par le soin apporté aux moindres détails.

Une très belle découverte que je recommande vivement !

Staff was helpful. Room was at the end of a twisting maze. Next time will look for a better value for the cost.

Cons:

No real lobby. Entrance is through a restaurant, making it necessary to wrestle bags through a line of waiting customers. Room was small, especially considering the substantial cost.

Pleasant stay, but I wouldn't return
Pros:

Great location, and very clean and comfortable - for sleeping, anyway. Just a few blocks from the old city, Parliament, and the Plains of Abraham, on a nice stretch of the Grand Alee.

Cons:

The room had no chairs to sit in - only short backless stools, and there was no lobby at all - so no place to sit comfortably and read a book, for example, except in the (very comfortable) beds. The staff were young and pleasant, but didn't seem deeply engaged in the hospitality aspect of their work. The lighting system in the room was very modern, but inadequate to see all parts of the room, and with confusing controls.

This hotel is really charming and well-located, but a night of loud street music turned me off.
Pros:

The location was perfect for us. The room was comfortable and quiet most of the time, except for Friday night, when very loud music from the street lasted until 2AM. The concierge was very pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed having pizza one night in the restaurant downstairs.

Cons:

The electrical outlets were very confusing. It was hard to figure out how the controls related to the lights, and every now and then all the lights in the rooms would go out if you pressed the wrong thing. The only mirrors were in the bathroom. It would be helpful to have another one in the entryway or the bedroom. This may seem insignificant, but the containers of single-serve coffee beans were different colors, but not identified. I don't know if they were different or all the same.
