This is a great hotel, that was a perfect location for Attleborough and all the shops. It needs a bit of tlc, and I don't think it was good value. The bed was really comfy and I slept well. The selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits is probably the best I have ever seen. Cold milk in a little fridge, and water were all great !
The room was cold. I don't mind that when going to bed, but had to keep my jacket on until that point. I tried to change the thermostat on the radiator, but that had no effect. I could not find the control for the towel holder in the bathroom to give some local heat. I could not find the isolator switch for the bathroom extractor fan. So I had to listen to that all night. It wasn't intrusive, but slightly annoying. I like to leave a light on ( bathroom in this case ), in case of emergencies. I noticed when I woke up there was a hole in the ceiling where a light fitting sort of fitted. When I woke in the morning, the radiator was red hot.
Very comfortable.
The first room smelt of smoke as someone had smoked there illegally. Landlady was brilliant and apologetic and moved me to next room:

Price of breakfast very high indeed. Water pressure in toilet, bath and sink very low.
there was no breakfast availible as the chef was on holiday but the manager did organise toast and tea
we were very disappointed with the lack of facilitys regarding food although breakfast was advertised when we booked it was not availible
Spotless clean , staff attentive and so hands on , 10/10 service and friendly , made it a wonderful stay
