Stayed at Casa Mayawell for a total of 9 nights and had a great time! The room is pristinely clean and cozy, and you have a lovely view of the garden from the balcony. The compound's private garden is great for spending time and comes equipped with a pool, as well. The area is calm and has a local neighborhood vibe to it. There are lots of small shops and kiosks nearby and you can get to the city center and marina in about 15 minutes by bus. The owner Maya is amazing, she was extremely caring, accomodating and friendly. Gave me lots of good recommendations regarding restaurants and shops in the area, regularly checked up on me to see if everything is fine, if there room needs extra cleaning or if there's anything I need. The place is truly a hidden gem and I'd recommend it to anyone!
Can't really think of anything. For shopping at larger supermarkets (Soriana, Chedraui, Walmart etc.) you'll have to make your way downtown, which takes roughly 15 minutes by bus (the bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the apartment), so you might want to buy everything you need while downtown during the day. In the area there are lots of smaller corner stores and restaurants though :)

Close to bus terminal and airport. The owner was extremely friendly and responsive.
The room was extremely hot when we arrived because the air conditioner had not been turned on in preparation for our arrival. We did turn it on immediately to try and cool the room, but it did not cool quickly enough. We had to leave it on and go walk around outside for almost an hour, and still the room was too warm when we returned. It just didn’t seem to work efficiently.
The stay was amazing! Maya is incredible helpful and super fast responding questions.
The room was clean and pleasant and a good value for the price. The bougainvillea out front is pretty. It's a locals neighborhood, with cobblestone and dirt roads, and small food stands and tiendas. So it's not fancy, but I liked it. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful.
I was disappointed the pool was closed for cleaning on Mondays because we had planned to spend some time there.

The location (near the airport), the attentive host, the steam iron, coziness and the balcony.
It was a much more beautiful and comfortable place than I expected, I 100% sure will visit this place again, and the price is so nice

This was right next to the international airport and so it was easy to get to for my flight back to Canada. The balcony off the bedroom was overlooking the giant pool and center garden area. I sat out there with my morning coffee. The pool was fabulous. Very big and deep enough for my work out. Bed was comfort, AC worked well & I felt very secure. The owner was accommodating & even went out of her way to bring me more water as well as coffee for the morning. Close to guard house and found the complex employees were helpful as well. Thank you Maya for the lovely room for 2 nights.
It would have been nice to have had toiletries for use in the bathroom but I generally carry my own, so no real issues. A couple of glasses or cups would also have been helpful.
It looked nice and inviting online but this condo complex is in the middle of nowhere, very sketchy, ghetto unsafe area. We felt very uncomfortable immediately upon arrival.
The few restaurants around are in the ghetto down dark streets, to which my daughter and I felt very unsafe to walk around in as female tourists.
I was very turned off by the whole experience. The condo itself is cute, but very small and there’s security guards at the entrance of the condo complex and many doors to lock to get into the condo..:probably due to the fact it’s in a very undesirable/ unsafe area. They advertise “good / safe location” because they have security guard 24/7 which keeps it safe ? and the location is close to airport which is why I booked it to be close as we had a flight to catch the next morning. That’s the only reason.
We left within 20 min of being there and did not sleep there. I took a loss $ as I knew she wasn’t going to refund me and booked a safer hotel close to the airport.
If you’re travelling alone as a young female tourist, I wouldn’t recommend this spot and don’t be fooled by the pictures as the host doesn’t show the surrounding area where it’s located.
Safety, aesthetic close to airport
Very cute and clean room with a nice balcony! A perfect location, close to the airport and central bus station. Also close to shops and restaurants. I will return!
