Ruby Homestay

Absolutely everything. This place is extraordinary, it's right on the lake & Nam & Ruby are super friendly, helpful & always happy. The rooms are spacious & clean (cleaned daily) with a giant comfortable bed which is larger than a super king size. They take care of everything you could possibly need, nothing is too much trouble, scooter, tours, laundry. We loved our stay & Tam Coc is a special town, we will definitely return. Thank you Nam & Ruby for a fabulous stay.

Large room, beautiful setting. Nice to have separate bungalows. Great location & quiet. It’s connected to a cute cafe & restaurant where guests get a discount. Pool was also nice. Bicycle rentals for 50k & the staff maintains the bikes and keeps air in the tires.

Nice and very relaxed location, good beds. Easy to walk into town (or to the boats, but suggest doing that from Trang An). Friendly people. Beautiful swimming pool.

As soon as we arrived from Hanoi, I knew I wanted to stay longer so added an extra night. The set up, space, decor, water view on one side, mountain behind, cosy bungalows, entertaining area and swimming pool in the middle. It’s such a cute, cosy place to stay. The location is perfect. Breakfast is good and everyone is so welcoming. You can hire scooters or bikes and explore or Nam can organise one of the many tours on offer. We loved this place very much.

La chambre est grande et très confortable. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil. L'établissement est idéalement placé. Je recommande à 100%.

Lo que mas me gusto fueron Ruby, la dueña y su tio, son un amor ambos, te ríes mucho con ellos y te dan todo tipo de facilidades para todo. Nos ayudaron a organizar nuestras rutas por la zona y nos alquilaron un coche a muy buen precio, que nos llevo a todos los sitios que queríamos, además nos reservaron el bus a ha giang y nos llevaron hasta el bus. También nos dejaron ducharnos y usar las instalaciones del lugar hasta que pudimos coger el bus por la noche. Una maravilla de sitio! 100% recomendado

• Warm, attentive hosts – Nam checked in daily to ensure everything was smooth, helping arrange airport taxis and onward transfers, making an international move stress‑free.
• Friendly owner communication – Ruby, though not fluent in English, used Google Translate to chat and was joyful about seeing children running around, adding a genuine, welcoming feel.
• Fresh, simple vegetarian‑friendly food – great to have tailored meal options; we appreciated being able to order vegetarian dishes.
• Delicious juices & friendly service – juices in the Cozy Garden were served with smiles, and Trang’s warm hospitality added charm.
• Family‑run, homely atmosphere – clearly a family-run place, with genuine personal touches throughout our stay.

We arrived at Ruby Homestay after a stay in busy Hanoi, and it was exactly what we needed—peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. There were only a few other guests, so the atmosphere was calm and very personal.

The staff were incredibly helpful from the start. They gave us suggestions on what to do in the area and organized a couple of great tours for us: an evening jeep ride and a full-day excursion with a knowledgeable guide who shared stories about local history, Buddhism, and more.

Breakfast at the homestay was simple but delicious and filling. There’s also an on-site café/bar and a swimming pool, which added to the relaxing vibe.

Our bungalow-style room exceeded expectations—it was clean, spacious, and had the biggest bed we’ve ever slept in! It felt cozy yet luxurious.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service, a peaceful setting, and a beautiful place to unwind.

The stay was amazing. We stayed there for 2 nights, and the service caught me dumbfounded. The amount of patience and care can't be found in any other stay in Tam Coc. The people who manage the stay are extremely kind. There is Nam, who is an extremely kind-hearted lady and her uncle who can't be defined in words. His actions were really wholesome. From teaching us simple vietnamese to helping us in late night, he truly showcased the meaning of care They also assisted us by giving us an itenary in Nim Bhin, by booking us a pleasant limousine to Hanoi and with easy and cheap renting of motorbikes, They have their own bikes for rent, and it costs 100.000 VND per day. If you want to really feel like home, then this is the stay for you. With welcoming hosts, a tasty breakfast, and a large pool, it has everything you need for the perfect stay in Tam Coc. I highly recommend this as I want everyone coming to Tam Coc to have the same phenomenal experience as I did.

I was apprehensive of the reviews hyping up Mr. Ruby and the breakfast shakshuka - suffice to say the reviews are absolutely correct. This homestay is an absolute gem, and would stay no where else in Tam Coc.

The owners are super caring, and were super accommodating at helping us plan tours and what to do in the area. Also helped us arrange transport to Hue, with a personal ride from Mr. Ruby on the back of his bike to the transport stop. Loved to make conversation with the owners.

There is nowhere else like this is Tam Coc. Ruby told us people are booking his homestay up to 10 months out, and can absolutely see why. An absolute must stay.
