ビジネスホテルレベルなのに価格が高すぎる
Pros:

記録的な暑さの中、ランドリーが使えたのはよかった

Cons:

工事中の部分があり、それもむき出しでとてもがっかりだった。駅近ではあるが、ホテルのレベルと価格が釣り合っていない（レベルは低いのに高すぎる）朝食会場も内容もチープでがっかり。

Very poor service
Cons:

We were very upset at how we were treated at Aloft. We booked in at 12:30 with our 3 kids. Initially they said i did not have a booking even though i could see it on my booking.com reservation the receptionist was quite forcefull about it and kept saying i booked the wrong date and that i wont get refund!!. Eventually it was found much to our relief. We then headed out for the day. As we were not Marriott members one of the rooms was ready but we could not have the room until 3.
When we arrived back at 5 we were told we did not have our rooms and that we were going to another hotel. When asked why initially it was a technical issue, then it was a leak and water damage. When asked why we were moved they admitted it was because of a conference and they got priority. Even though we had already checked in.
I Asked to speak to someone more senior and was told no. Then asked for an email. He said he Would not give the email of managing director as it was private.
I had his name before leaving hotel by a google search!.
The Marriott group in Gernany seriously need to up there management training and the senior managers like MDs need to stop hiding in their offices. Very poor customer service. Which I did not expect for a Marriott hotel. Obviously don't care about family's just their corporate business!!. its a fact and our story confirms it. We were not part of the conference..

Ok hotel - not great for families
Pros:

Property overall is ok, location is great being right opposite train station and close to the main attractions.

Cons:

However, it’s very basic compared to other Marriott properties and probably better for business travellers or couples vs for families. We also wanted to leave some luggage as we wanted to drive to Schwarzwald , stay there for a day and come back to the same hotel (Aloft) but were not allowed. Apparently due to hotel ma agent policy (not the front staff and the manager - they were nice and apologetic about that). It was a big hassle for us with a big family and lots of luggage.

Big rooms in a convenient location
Pros:

Spacious and clean rooms. We enjoyed having 2 comfortable queen sized beds and a large bathroom with actual bench space.
The location is convenient for main station and a short walk to Old Town. Also enjoyed access to cheap laundry on site.

Cons:

Whilst location is convenient the immediate streets are not nice. Staff were mixed, with some very friendly service and some poor service.
Cleaning staff were not very good, they threw some things out that were not rubbish, did not change bed linen, and opened windows + turned off air con on days we were in an extreme heat wave.
The shower was not set up well so basically flooded the floor in toilet area each time.
Laundry was great to have, but located through basically a maze in the hotel, it is also self service for just 1 washer and dryer, meaning we had to walk a long way, only to find it in use, and then come back to check again later and so on. No way to plan and reserve laundry usage.
