Немного далеко от центра города
The owner is very kind.
He took care of me a lot so that l could spend a comfortable time.
He also told me a lot about Brayagraj.
I can't speak much English, but the owner used Google's translation software and responded politely.
The owner’s wife is also very kind.
Breakfast and dinner was homemade by her and was very delicious.
The owner's son and daughter are very friendly and grandfather and grandmother also kind.
The toilet and shower were separate from the room.
It would have been better if it was in the room.
Location was decent on account of being near Sangam Ghat. But the exact location of the house was terrible. It was inside a very narrow lane, behind a temple, and no one else knew about it. There was also on-going construction in that lane, with open welding- very dangerous.
The room and amenities were misrepresented on the site. Building was inside a narrow, waterlogged lane, and the stairs to the room were very steep and high- no mention of such poor accessibility on the online profile. The room itself was okay, but the bathroom was outside, and to be shared with occupants of other rooms. There was a washing machine, which I used, but it was in a poor condition and filled with clothes when I arrived. I did not spot a fridge. Most importantly, the behaviour of the hosts was shocking! There was a man, his wife, their children, and the man's parents. Other than the wife who was sweet, the rest of the family was not treating us as paying guests at all since we were two young women. They repeatedly asked us why we are here, where we are from, what is the "purpose" of our stay, expressing disbelief that two women want to visit a city and stay somewhere for leisure. I had told the main host I would arrive between 2 and 3pm, and due to waterlogging, i reached around 3:30pm. During that time, he called me around 8 times, non-stop and kept asking me where I am and how long it will take. Finally, when i told him he was stressing me out, he expressed that he's worried because I am a woman (screenshot attached). And later, once we reached, the old woman was scolding us for being out during the rain (????) and the wife even said we shouldnt go out again now because it's raining (??) and why were we travelling if we didnt have an exam or any work. We told them we are here to travel, paid them and left for the evening, when we were informed that we must come back by 10:30 or 11pm! We tried to negotiate with that, and came back by 12, at which point even the children of the household were screaming at us for being "late"! Can you imagine having to deal with this kind of stress on holiday? They should specify that they dont want to host women, if it makes them so anxious.
Full marks to the host..I have never had a better experience in any home stay I've stayed..
What we liked the most was that the owner already told the actual fare of the auto, which saved me from overpayment, and from our arrival till our check-out, he constantly took our feedback that I am coming safely.
The best thing is that Ganga, Yamuna river & Triveni Sangam is very near by...The food is exceptional..
Thanks for making my Prayagraj tour precise memorable to Mr. srivastava and his family...
Nothing
Hospitality
We can’t exactly get in the stay we need to search a bit
The owner's behaviour is very nice, and he is very helpful, also a nice stay
Ghar k bahar ghar jaisa feel laga, owner aur unki family bahut co-operative hain, Khana kaafi tasty aur fresh tha..
Overall ek accha destination hai. Maa Ganga bilkul paas me hain, jyada se jyada 5 minute ka raasta hai aur Sangam bhi lagbhag 10-15 minute ka raasta hai.
Main to akela aaya tha, agli baar family ko lekar prayagraj aana hua to pahle se hi advance booking karwa lunga.
To the owners: Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your place! You made my stay as comfortable as it could be. My best regards to the entire family!
To travellers: For visitors interested in the holy rivers, Triveni Sangham, the ghats and the most important temples - this is the perfect location. Tucked away in a backstreet, away from the noise of the larger alleyways and streets. An important Vishnu temple, where the sign reads: "According to Puranas and Ramcharit Manas the full boon of holy dip is not attained until the darshan of Bhagwan Shri Veni Madhav is done.", is just 2 minutes away.
It takes 30 minutes of a brisk walk to get to Triveni Sangham nose. During Kumbh this area is technically outside the 'festival' area, but at the same time it is in the very middle of it. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to Ganga riverside.
At the entry to the closest alleyway, there is a restaurant, one of VERY FEW around. However, I recommend dining at Vardaan Rooms, where the lady of the house prepares meals daily. A few fellow pilgrims recommended the same to me, praising local food quality and safety.
Samir and his family are great hosts and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Everyone in the family, including the lovely Grandma, speaks some level of English, and all are very keen to know a bit more about the guests. It was a very unique experience to me, to stay at a local family's house (for 5 nights, so I began to develop some attachment to them :) ).
I was taken care of way ahead of my arrival - Samir contacted me very early, soon after the booking; we had a very good and prompt communication between us, and he was very agreeable on the details of my stay. On the day of my arrival, the owner picked me up and lead me to his place, which I would have troubles finding otherwise.
I would definitely recommend a stay here to all more or less adventurous travellers.
I have no complaints, but as a note, I do wish I had known in advance that meals were not included in the price, as I think I was not made aware of it up front, and it caused a minor inconvenience as a result at the end of my stay.
And, maybe having some storage space, like a shelve or a cabinet for each guest would be useful. I didn't really have a way to unpack conveniently for the 5 day stay.
The host were very caring. They were available on the phone to guide as well as showed the area around.
Nice people. It was dormitory stay at home. It is basically a home of Mr. Samir. Very nice and cooperative person.
street outside the home from where we have to walk to get into the place is little dirty. Local municipality should take necessary steps to make the place even better.
Samir Srivastava and his family hosted us for 2 days and welcomed us warmly into the family. Our stay was exceptionally good. Samir did everything he could to make our visit as comfortable as possible. Even before we arrived, he guided us wonderfully and we could plan reliably for the Maha Kumbh with his help. He is a good source of information about various topics and is very honest. I fell sick during our stay; Samir and his family went out of their way to comfort me and helped me recover while we were there. You would feel a part of the family while you are staying here.
The property is located close to the Ganga and Triveni Sangam. It gives you an experience of a lifetime that is not to be missed. It is in the middle of old Prayagraj which has a lot of history and beautiful Temples everywhere. People around are very kind and helpful. Rooms are clean and very well maintained. Food provided by the family is fresh and prepared on request.
Thank you for the beautiful memories and look forward to another visit soon.
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Prayagraj. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities like hot and cold water, and geysers. The hotel is conveniently located just 100 to 150 meters from the main road, making it easy to access the Triveni Sangam. What really stood out to me was the hotel owner—an incredibly kind and helpful person who offers free and detailed guidance to make your stay even better.
If you’re looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay, this hotel is an excellent choice. It’s perfect for families, with easy access to the Nag Vasuki Mandir and Sri Veni Madhav Mandir. Thank you for providing such a fantastic experience!
I highly recommend this hotel and would give it a 10 out of 10 star rating!"
Convenience. Good food at a reasonable price cooked by owner's wife. The owner picked me up with his motorcycle and helped with my transportation issues. Close to the Ganga river and walking distance to a shopping district. Whitewashed brick walls and open interior court recalled a Mediterranean style. The family's genuine interest in and care for guests.
My "dorm" room (there were only 2 beds in the room) was also used as a passageway for some other guests to get to their rooms.. The other rooms had more privacy.
I loved everything, this is fantastic place to stay for anyone visiting Prayagraj, location is great and facilities more than sufficient, but above all you will be treated with upmost hospitality and love by the family. Be sure to book your stay here as you will find honest and loving stay with the family, no problems will be there ever, should you have any they will sort out and help. Good food and tea is also available. May god bless the family with all good things. THANK YOU!
The place is simple but clean and comfortable.
The whole family has a beautiful energy. Samir made sure I was ok and safe all the time, with recommendations. Pooja made the most delicious dinner and chai. The house is walking distance to Maha Kumbh so perfect for my purpose.
The shower is just cold water, hot water is available to bath with a jar.
My stay at Vardaan Rooms has been truly wonderful. Not only do I believe it is the best location to enjoy the Kumbh Mela (just a 20-25 minute walk from the Sangam), but also because Samir, Pooja, and their entire family made me feel like one of their own.
The shared room was very comfortable, they provide hot water, and the homemade meals are absolutely delicious.
Without a doubt, my stay in Prayagraj wouldn’t have been the same without them. I’m incredibly grateful and highly recommend it! :)
