Highly recommend
Pros:

Everything. The family(Alanka and his Mum) are very nice and easy to communicate with, before arrival and during our stay. We choose 2 rooms for our group with fans only and they were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is the best we came across in Sri Lanka (even more expensive places). The location is perfect for proximity to the airport and Alanka has a van for transport to the airport for extra cost. I also loved that it is located in a residential area (not touristy) and there is a restaurant around the corner that serves really nice food.

Local experience
Pros:

It was lovely experience that I stay local house. The room had high ceilings and a mosquito net. I comfortably stay there by ceiling fan without air condition. There are quiet place, a little far from Negombo downtown. The owner accommodated a late check-out because my return flight was a night flight

Cons:

I had forgotten to ask about WiFi. It was a shame that the powder milk had run out when I had a cup of tea.

Un séjour inoubliable chez Alanka !
Pros:

Nous avons passé un moment absolument merveilleux dans cette résidence confortable, propre accompagné d’un déjeuné copieux et aux spécialités srilankaises absolument délicieuses. L'endroit est chaleureux et authentique, et on s'y sent immédiatement à l'aise.

Notre hôte s'est montré d'une gentillesse et d'une disponibilité remarquable, nous accompagnant avec beaucoup d'attention tout au long de notre séjour. On sentait un véritable soin apporté à l'accueil, avec des conseils précieux et une bonne humeur communicative du début à la fin.

Il a notamment organisé pour nous un tour en bâteau pour visiter la lagune de Negombo et voir son coucher de soleil. Puis le lendemain, nous avons suivi Alanka pour une journée de visite complète avec le temple de Dambulla, un safari à Minneriya, des massages ayurvédiques dans un endroit superbe, et de nombreux arrêts en route pour découvrir et goûter de nouvelles spécialités locales, jusqu’à nous déposer à notre logement suivant ! Une expérience riche et authentique, pensée avec beaucoup d'attention.

C'est ce genre de rencontre qui rend un voyage vraiment spécial.

Nous recommandons vivement Alanka et sa famille à tous les futurs voyageurs à la recherche d'un accueil sincère et attentionné. Un immense merci pour ce moment partagé !

Easy booking , uncomplicated stay , friendly staff
Pros:

It was exactly like the description and very clean. Everything in the room work well. Mosquito nets installed and windows which you can open. but that depends on your room.

Cons:

Maybe the location is not perfect but it is a transit hotel and for that it’s great.
No breakfast before 7:30 if you leave earlier but don’t worry the host had some descent offers for us.

Warm onthaal bij mensen thuis
Pros:

De gastheer en vrouw waren echt heel aardig. Communicatie was goed en duidelijk. In verband met de storm en de enorme regenval de afgelopen maanden ziet het huis en de plaats er niet zo uit als op de foto, maar daar heeft hij vooraf heel duidelijk over gecommuniceerd. Wij gingen toch vanwege de gastvrijheid en om de lokale mensen te steunen in deze tijd.

We hadden 2 kamers met airco. Simpele kamers, maar schoon.

Je slaapt bij de mensen in hun eigen huis op een eigen verdieping. Het is dus geen hotel, maar een echt huis, met foto's van de eigenaren. Wij vonden dat heel leuk.

Het ontbijt wat mega goed, overweldigend veel.

De gastheer kan je ook naar andere plekken brengen of rondrijden in Sri Lanka. Als we dat van te voren hadden geweten hadden we dat zeker gedaan.

Om de hoek zit een restaurant, niet groot, maar wel goed eten.

De eigenaar kan je ook voor een meerprijs ophalen van het vliegveld.

Pros:

Wir wurden vom Inhaber in der Nacht vom Flughafen abgeholt (gegen vorher vereinbarten Preis). Alles hat super geklappt. Außerdem hat uns der Inhaber kostenlos ein Zimmer-Upgrade gegeben und uns bei der Organisation der Weiterreise geholfen. Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig.

In my view a bit hysterical written communication prior to our arrival, apparently trying to set our expectations low to prevent disappointment which was not necessary.

Cerca del aeropuerto y la gente que lo lleva se nota que intenta hacerlo bien.

Cons:

El alojamiento es mucho más sencillo de lo que imaginamos. Por la noche llovió y nos cayó agua encima de la cama, cosa que hizo que ya no durmiéramos bien pendientes de que no cayera más agua encima de las niñas. El alojamiento necesita bastantes mejoras.
