Alchemist villa in Kazhakkoottam is in a calm place which is bit away form the city chaos. Situated in a village like atmosphere, away from the noise of city. The rooms were good. Had a kitchen consisting of fridge, stove, utensils and other things. The staff which present in the site was also nice and helpful.
The shower was not working. Unfortunately, I didn't reported it to the host. There was no other issues were there for me. Also, the bed was bit lower and widely which made bit uncomfortable while sleeping.
The host was always in touch, was generally friendly, and allowed us to check out late. The second place was ok.
The first place was dirty, the air conditioning barely worked, the electricity and Wi-Fi often went out, and because of this, we couldn't work. So the next morning, we asked for a refund and wanted to leave. But they said they couldn't refund our money before we fly out of the country and offered us another place. We agreed because it was a compromise and we needed to work. The other place was better than the first, but also had issues with cleanliness. It was very unpleasant that after we hastily left the first place because we didn't like it, the host used our photos to advertise this place and didn't want to delete them until I threatened to contact Booking.com and Instagram support. Also, because of the poor conditions, my friend burst into tears due to stress, and the host suggested she take a selfie right after her tears. And after this whole unpleasant experience, the host persistently offered us to make a video where we praised his place. I am honestly shocked by such tactlessness

No power supply backup.3 days * booked and fully paid.but First day 2 hours power shut down.2nd day full shut down.Third day morning I vacate and stay at another place.morning breakfast is not good except Tea

Not clean. Bathroom was horrible. The whole house was dirty and fully drenched in water. I’m happy that I did fall and hurt myself
Location was peaceful
Basic Amenities were missing like toiletries. Washroom door hinge broken, bed was making noise while sitting, as per the price service was not upto the mark. Seriously service need to be improved
Room was clean and host was very helpful. He gave us all we asked for and provided an iron to help with the washing.
The approach to the hotel was not great. There is plastic bags, bottles and general rubbish around the entrance and in the garden where we hung out our wet washing. It wouldn't take much to clear this up and give a much better first impression. The bed was hard and the pillows were very thin. I had to fold it in half to give it any depth to put my head on.
Lovely and helpful host, very clean accomodation
Jithu is a fantastic host, he went above and beyond the normal scope of a caretaker/host, by collecting me from the bus stop when I arrived in Kazhakkoottam the homestay is comfortable and has good transport links to the city center and local beach. The room was clean and felt homely, bathroom facilities were also good and the homestay provided great value for money!
jithu, the staff caretaker was a lovely, helpful, and welcoming.. hehe what can i say we had a blast, the rooms were nice with ac hot water showers and breakfasts made locally
location wasn’t completely ideal but we made do with the many tuk tuk’s which frequently pass the street
