No liner for shower water everywhere no toilet paper lights burnt out lack of communication on water shut off for 9 hrs. Broken coffee maker filthy carpet goes on and on
Paid for early checkin, didn't happen, couldn't park the vehicle until checkin. Poorly managed, had a make-shift wall for the “second bedroom” signs saying short term guest cant use amenities.
Clean and host was helpful and kind! Would recommend to everyone.
This property was not as stated. It was advertised as a "penthouse" it was a 1 bedroom with a drywall board across the dining room to make another "bedroom". ! bathroom, not 2, and the lights were blown out (bulbs) . The deck was rotted, chairs were rusty, the parking spot I paid for wan't available. It was awful. Never go here again

AC not working. Old apartment - not at all like in the pictures. Key didn't work properly. No Communication - contacted number provided for assistance and emailed - neither option responded. Unsafe because we had to leave door opened to air conditioned hallway because it was 28 / 29 degrees C in the apartment. No way was this place like the pictures or worth the money we paid for 2 nights in August 2025. First time booking with and will not book again!

Its so bad house when I rented the house they changed the address and room and sent me the address before I rented but when we finished everything and took everything they wanted I got another address from them. They do not get along well with people and cannot communicate even they don't have good service. The house was very bad and unclean.
The condition of the condo is poor (broken towel racks, warped, unfinished drywall, lack of basic utensils) and cleaning was basic.
The day we were to arrive we were asked to etransfer our deposit to the owner. We were suspicious and contacted Expedia who said they would check into it and then never got back to us. It was eventually figured out but we didn’t get into the rental until 1.5 hours after check in and it caused a lot of stress.
This property was disgusting. Beds unmade, fresh garbage in trash, pet and human hair all over the floor, dirty laundry still in washing machine.
Upon entering the room I took pictures right away and reached out to owner. It took a hour for a response and only after I phoned them. by this time I had found other accommodation as it was 6:30 pm already. The owner said someone could meet me and when I said I would like a refund they denied me that and said they offered to have someone clean it and that their cleaning staff said the unit was cleaned prior to my arrival. If that was the case I feel that someone else other than me had access to this unit in the mean time. SAFETY was a major concern. A customer should not have to wait to have the room cleaned. Unacceptable do not stay here the owner is refusing to refund me! Horrible business

After the Expedia booking, which was supposed to be the total cost of the booking. The company managing this bnb asked for us to scan and upload id, credit card, and enter a credit card for the deposit. Well on the day of the check in when i was about to get on my flight, all of a sudden they needed a bank transfer for the deposit and they said they would keep part of the deposit as a processing fee. I then had to zelle the money and have yet to get my security deposit back.
They are quick to give you many reasons why they will cancel your booking without a refund.
Also, the place was old, the bathroom door did not have a lock, kept getting stuck, and even popped out of the door, leaving me inside.
PRO: Convenient downtown location. Walking distance to nearby shopping, grocery stores, Rogers Centre, attractions and waterfront.
CONS:
1. Processing security deposit and not releasing detailed check-in information until just prior to arrival (same day).
2. Access to parking space in garage was with a key fob. However, the key fob wasn’t activating the parking garage; company didn’t fix despite multiple calls and appointment. We ended up paying for a public parking garage during our stay.
3. Service people entered apartment for dryer vent cleaning during our stay without prior notice from the management.
4. Unit management does not respond to questions and we were not allowed to contact concierge or risk losing cancellation of booking, which was nonrefundable.
5. Condition is not luxury accommodations as advertised: (a) 4th bedroom had an incomplete and shoddily-constructed wall with thin sheets of melamine and exposed 2x4s. Also the wall does not go to the ceiling, (b) door hinge on master bedroom door is not attached to door frame, (c) outside patio is not well-maintained due to tall weeds growing, (d) shower rod held in place with waded up paper towel.
6. No spoons provided.
Overall rooms are fine it was relatively clean but in need of upgrades. The location is so ideal I wish that they were able to put more time and thought into the rooms and ammeities as there was a lack of kitchen supplies.
Booked this apartment-style rental the evening before planned arrival. I paid in full through hotels.com like usually. Everything seemed fine… until the next morning.
There I received an email demanding a photo of my government-issued ID and a photo of my credit card and a bank wire transfer of an exuberant amount as a damage deposit.
No reputable hotel or short-term rental would ever demand a wire transfer for a deposit, especially not without prior warning or visibility on the booking site.
Wire transfers are non-refundable, unprotected, and impossible to reverse. There’s no fraud protection like with a credit card hold, and of course, the money would never have arrived in time anyway.
When I declined to wire the deposit, they refused to grant me access to the room. They also refused to issue a refund, hiding behind internal “policies” that are not visible or disclosed on Hotels.com at the time of booking.
I later read reviews from other travelers stating that they hadn't received their deposit back, even weeks later.
I was forced to book a room in a different hotel last minute.
The whole experience feels like a predatory trap designed to exploit unsuspecting guests. It flirts with the line of outright fraud without technically crossing it, and it’s disgraceful that this is even allowed on a major platform.
Do not book here unless you enjoy sending your most sensitive data via unsecured and being extorted.
Location was not the location listed in the ad. Nobody there is assist with check in. Parking had to run up into the room to grab a clicker to open the garage, and finding the spot was a nightmare.
Apartment was fine for the stay as we were going out most of the time. Pet hair was everywhere, stains on the couch seats, stools were very wobbly, a cupboard arm was not attached to the wall. I did not take photos because I assumed this was a reputable company would know the condition of their apartment. Upon checking in they informed us that the credit system they use for deposits did not work and they needed an e-transfer, was leary of doing so, but ended up sending 450$ as we needed a place to stay, we were already driving on the way.
Checked out and waited a few days for refund. Called a couple times was told it takes a few days to process. After 1.5 weeks I called again and they informed me the cleaning crew said I brought a dog and it pooped in the apartment so they will not be giving me my deposit back. We did not bring a dog and there was definitely no poop when we left. We ensured the apartment was left in clean condition by sweeping and washing/drying dishes.
Do not recommend staying here this seems like a scam to keep 450$.
