Wonderful hotel
Pros:

The owner, Pete was just wonderful. Went above and beyond and helped us out tons when my wife forgot a bunch of things in the room, he dropped things off to our location at the local farm we were visiting, twice!

The location was perfect, Aldi right over the road which is so convenient. Parking at the back of the property, fresh towels and linen upon arrival, full self catering amenities including an airfryer oven and fridge.

We stayed for 3 nights and will be returning for our Dumfries trips! Pete is an absolute gem, couldn't do more for his guests and was so incredibly friendly, it's as if we'd known him years, this hotel was an incredible find!

Very pleasant stay, owner ensures that you are comfortable and responds very quickly to messages.
Pros:

Location, Owners were very helpful, showers and comfort of beds was excellent.

Cons:

Just lacked one or two kitchen implements and shampoo.

Perfect for lone travellers on a budget
Pros:

The owner has developed a row of self contained rooms which each has their own bathroom with shower, wc and hand basin. The rooms also have a single bed, microwave and fridge - perfect for lone travellers. Also provided are bath and kitchen towels , a selection of crockery and cutlery, mug, glass and a kettle together with a flat screen tv.

Largely satisfactory.
Pros:

I liked ghe plain here is a room with a bed and a bathroom and some amount of cooking facilities.

Cons:

The broken washer with the really strong detergent smell, the towels being very fabric softener so that you couldn’t actually use them to absorb anything, the lack of a single sharp implement in the kitchen area— I ended up buying a peeler with a small blade on it in order to have potatoes, carrots, and an apple, and left it for hopefully future guests.

Good value and location
Pros:

Very clean & smelt lovely. Good location not far from town centre.
Although very small ( I did choose economy) had everything I needed.
Parking in front off road.

Cons:

Big window with bed underneath. No blind or net curtain so had to pull curtain for privacy (couple of rings off the curtain so couldn't get complete darkness)

Peter was a brillaint! Really friendly and suggested places in the area to go in between our visit.
Pros:

An old pub being converted into rooms and larger suites and will be an amazing place once the whole job is finished. We were in the family suite that has already been converted so clean and tidy and plenty of space.

Cons:

No issues for me. This is having renovation works in other parts of the building but this didn’t affect us in any way. Very respectful.

absolute nightmare of an experience
Pros:

Cons:

the attitude of the owner...the photo on the site was not representative...untidy derelict yard....fell out with the owner he told me to sod off back to Yorkshire and get my money back..was scheduled for 2 nights...one night spent in my car the second...went home..still waiting for reimbursement
