Consistently excellent service that makes this villa a top choice for us
Pros:

This is our second time staying at Balay Pacifico, and the experience was just as amazing as the first. The staff’s attentiveness and thoughtfulness continue to impress. They even went out of their way to fulfill a small personal request—to greet our Nanay—which made the stay extra special. Consistently excellent service that makes this villa a top choice for us. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Cons:

Honestly, there wasn’t much we didn’t like—perhaps just that it was a bit pricey, but the exceptional service and experience made it worth it.

Great place with great staff. Would definitely stay again.
Pros:

Great resort in a wonderful location. The villas are spacious and clean.Calicoan is probably my favorite places in the Philippines. Awesome, gentle surfing, good little resorts with good food. And no foreign tourists to speak of.

Very satisfactory and enjoyable.
Pros:

The electrical outlets were busted due to the failure of the electric cooperative to supply the correct voltage. Not only were the outlets busted but some of the appliances as well. The owner and staff were apologetic but also offered complementary items to make our stay comfortable. The villa assigned to us was very spacious and can even accommodate more than the stipulated maximum of 6.

Cons:

As a wheelchair-bound senior citizen, the bathroom, i think, needs PWD handles and anti-slip mats. Pathways also are not wheelchair-friendly. The hotel could not be faulted for the fluctuating electricity, though.

A peaceful and comfortable stay with amazing ocean views, great food, and friendly staff.
Pros:

I had a truly enjoyable stay at this resort on the Pacific coast of Samar. The entire property is very clean and well-organized, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing.

The cabin I stayed in was incredibly spacious, especially the master bedroom, which had a large, comfortable bed. The bathrooms were also roomy and very well-designed, making the whole place feel extra comfortable. There was a big TV, and the kitchen—with its own bar—was a great addition.

What really made the stay special was the stunning view of the ocean. I spent a lot of time just sitting and taking in the beautiful coastal scenery. The swimming pool is also a highlight—deep, comfortable, and perfectly positioned to enjoy the view while swimming or lounging.

The restaurant was another pleasant surprise. I especially enjoyed the Filipino dishes and seafood—everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. I also sampled a few cocktails, which were nicely prepared.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would gladly return in the future.

Needs repairs to match the great job the staff are doing
Pros:

The food & drinks take a while, but they are really good. In this location, to have chef's doing food this good is a real bonus as there isn't much around. With some maintenance this would be a top place to stay.

Cons:

They aren't properly on top of manging their bookings, so our booking.com booking wasn't in their calendar and our room was double booked. Our door lock was broken, the villa's still have 1000db box style air-con instead of split systems and many of the taps, doors etc need repair. Its unfair to currently call this place 'luxury' whilst so many repairs are needed but it could be if the fixes were made. This is a shame because the beds were good and the villa's have potential.
